How to Cancel Peacock

A 9-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.

Easy ~3 minutes Updated 2 weeks ago Verified working

Quick answer

Sign in at peacocktv.com/account, open Plans & Payment, click Change or Cancel Plan, then Cancel Plan and skip the win-back save offer to confirm. You keep Premium until the end of your current billing period — Peacock does not refund partial months.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Sign in to your Peacock account on the web

Open peacocktv.com in a web browser and sign in. Direct cancellation is browser-only — the Peacock app on iPhone, Android, Roku, Fire TV, and smart TVs does not show a cancel option when a third party handles your billing.

2

Open Account from your profile menu

Click your avatar in the top right and select Account. The page splits into two tabs: Plans & Payment and Settings. Stay on Plans & Payment.

3

Click Change or Cancel Plan

Under Your Plan you'll see your tier (Premium with Ads, Premium Plus, or whichever plan you signed up for), your next charge date, and your payment method. Click Change or Cancel Plan below it.

4

Choose Cancel Plan, not Change Plan

Peacock shows two options on the next screen: Change Plan (downgrade your tier or switch to annual) and Cancel Plan. Click Cancel Plan to enter the cancellation flow.

5

Skip the "Wait, don't go" save offer

Peacock pitches a win-back rate — typically a few months at a discounted price (around $2.99/month on Premium with Ads) before snapping back to the regular price. Click Cancel Plan again at the bottom to skip it.

6

Pick a cancellation reason and confirm

Peacock asks why you're leaving with a list of pre-set options ("Too expensive", "Not enough content I want to watch", and similar). The survey is optional — pick a reason or skip it, then click Yes, Cancel to finalize. You'll see a confirmation page with the exact date your access ends, and Peacock emails confirmation.

On iPhone or iPad: open the Peacock app and tap ACCOUNT

If you signed up inside the iOS Peacock app, the cancellation entry point lives there too. From any profile screen ("Who's watching?"), tap the ACCOUNT pill at the top right to open the Plans & Payment tab.

If "Billed by APPLE" appears on Plans & Payment, cancel through Apple

On Plans & Payment, your plan card shows who handles billing. If it reads Billed by APPLE, peacocktv.com won't list your subscription — Apple owns it. Tapping Cancel Plan in the Peacock app opens Apple's Subscriptions screen because Peacock can't cancel an Apple-billed subscription itself. You can also go straight there: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Peacock → Cancel Subscription.

If you signed up through Google, Roku, Amazon, or Xfinity

Cancel through whoever charges you, not peacocktv.com. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Roku: my.roku.com/account or Settings → Subscriptions on the device. Amazon: Memberships & Subscriptions. Xfinity: if Peacock Premium comes free with your Xfinity internet plan, you cannot cancel it as a standalone subscription — it ends automatically when the Xfinity promotion ends or when you change Xfinity plans. Contact Xfinity support to remove the Peacock perk early.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once you cancel, Peacock won't bill you again. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period — there are no prorated refunds. The exact end date appears on the confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

Peacock doesn't offer prorated refunds, even on yearly plans or if you cancel the day after being billed. You keep access until the current period ends — that's the closest thing to a refund. EU and UK subscribers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer law that can override this on a fresh signup. Outside that window, no cash back.

Peacock used to drop canceled accounts to a free ad-supported tier with a smaller library. That free tier was discontinued in 2023 — first for new signups in January, then for everyone in June. After your billing period ends, the account becomes inactive: you can sign in but can't stream anything until you resubscribe. Profiles, watchlist, Continue Watching, and parental controls are preserved if you rejoin.

You must cancel through whoever charges you. iPhone/iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Peacock → Cancel Subscription. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Roku: my.roku.com/account or Settings → Subscriptions on the device. Amazon: Memberships & Subscriptions. peacocktv.com will not list your subscription if a third party is billing you, so trying to cancel there will show no active plan.

You cannot cancel a Peacock Premium subscription that's included with an Xfinity internet plan — it isn't a standalone subscription you control. Premium ends automatically when the Xfinity promotion ends, when you change Xfinity plans, or when Xfinity removes the perk. To stop it sooner, contact Xfinity support and ask them to remove the Peacock add-on from your Xfinity account.

Yes. Sign back in at peacocktv.com any time and pick a plan — your profiles, watchlist, and Continue Watching come back as you left them. Peacock occasionally emails returning-customer offers (a discounted first month on Premium with Ads, or annual upgrade prompts), so it can be worth waiting a couple of weeks before resubscribing.
