A 9-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Sign in at hellofresh.com, click your name (top-right) → Account Settings, scroll to the Status section and click Cancel Plan, pick a reason, then click Cancel plan and Cancel anyway to skip the save offers. You must cancel by 11:59 PM PST, 5 days before your next delivery — miss the cutoff and that box still ships and is charged, with no refund.

See HelloFresh's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. HelloFresh ranks #15 of 117 by cancellation difficulty.
HelloFresh only stops boxes that are still inside the editable window: you must cancel by 11:59 PM PST, 5 days before your next scheduled delivery. Open your menu and note your next delivery date first. If the next box is already past that cutoff, canceling will not stop it — it ships and your card is charged regardless.
Log in at hellofresh.com on the web, click your name in the upper-right corner, then click Account Settings. This opens your Plan settings page. Cancellation is done from the web account — the path lives under Plan settings, not in the recipe-browsing part of the app.
Scroll down the Plan settings page to the Status section and click Cancel Plan. Don't confuse this with skipping a week — skipping (My Menu → Skip Week) only pauses a single delivery and keeps billing you later. Cancel Plan is what actually stops all future boxes.
HelloFresh shows a survey headed "Let us know why you're cancelling, maybe we can help" with reason tiles like "It's out of my budget," "I don't want a delivery every week," and "Other." The dark I don't want to cancel button is the deflection — ignore it. Select a reason; the Cancel plan button appears once one is highlighted.
With a reason highlighted (it turns green with a checkmark), the outlined Cancel plan button activates at the bottom, beneath the dark "I don't want to cancel" button. Click Cancel plan to continue.
A deflection screen appears headed "Here are some other ways that we can help you" with two cards — Get fewer deliveries (Modify) and Did You Know? (Help me skip). Neither stops your billing. Scroll past both and click the full-width Cancel anyway button.
You'll land on "Your subscription has been cancelled." Read the line below it carefully — if it says "You have one final delivery on [date]," that last box is already inside the cutoff and will be charged before it ships. The screen also dangles a 25% reactivation discount and an "I didn't mean to cancel" button; ignore both unless you actually want to stay.
Several users report that signing back into a canceled HelloFresh account silently reactivated it and scheduled an unwanted box — sometimes to an old address. After you cancel, stay logged out unless you genuinely intend to resubscribe. If you must check something, watch for any "Reactivate" confirmation and back out of it.
HelloFresh adds "doorbuster" promo items and other extras to orders that some customers only notice on their statement, and there are reports of charges on weeks people thought they'd skipped. After your final box ships, confirm no further HelloFresh charges appear. Dispute promptly with your bank if one does — HelloFresh's own refund stance on processed orders is strict.
RecurDash tracks all your subscriptions and reminds you before they renew. No bank login required.
