Quick answer

Paid members keep their benefits until the end of the current term; free-trial cancellations end access immediately and are not refunded.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Sign in and open your Walmart+ page

Go to walmart.com and sign in, then click Account (top right) and select Walmart+. This opens your "Your Walmart+ benefits" page, where the Manage membership link sits in the top-right corner.

2

Open Manage membership and click Manage

On the Manage Walmart+ membership page, find the Your Membership card showing your plan, renewal date, and price. Click Manage on that card to open plan controls.

3

Click Cancel beside Cancel membership

The Manage your plan page shows a Cancel membership box with the note "If you end your membership, you'll lose access to all of your Walmart Plus benefits." Click the Cancel link on the right of that box.

4

Skip the save offer and click Confirm cancellation

Walmart shows a "Before you leave…" screen arguing your membership "can pay for itself" with the value of one free delivery, one free shipped order, and Paramount+/Peacock. Click Confirm cancellation to proceed.

5

Confirm the cancellation and pick a reason

A green "Your membership has been canceled" banner confirms you're done. Below it, a "Why are you cancelling? (required)" survey appears. The survey is not required to complete the cancellation — it is already done — so you can close the page here if you prefer.

Add a comment and submit feedback (optional)

If you want to leave a note, pick a reason (choose Other to type free text) and click Submit feedback. This step is purely optional and does not affect your already-confirmed cancellation.

Know how to rejoin later

After canceling, the Walmart+ page turns into a "Rediscover Walmart+" restart screen with a Restart Walmart+ button. If you cancel before your billing cycle ends and change your mind, use Account › Walmart+ › Reactivate membership to restore the same term instead of starting a new one.

On a free trial? Cancel timing matters

Canceling during a free trial ends your benefits immediately and Walmart issues no refund for the trial — so if you plan to keep using perks, cancel right before the renewal date, not the moment you sign up. Paid members are different: your benefits run until the end of the term you already paid for.

Prefer pausing over canceling

Paid monthly or annual members (not trial members) can pause instead: Account › Walmart+ › Manage membership, then choose Pause. A pause runs one month at a time, up to three non-consecutive times per rolling 12 months, and isn't available if you've turned on an ad-free streaming upgrade. Walmart won't bill you while paused, but benefits switch off until it resumes.

Check your statement after canceling

Members have reported surprise renewal charges around their billing date. After you cancel, watch for the confirmation, and verify no Walmart+ charge posts on your next statement. If one does, call Walmart customer care at 1-800-925-6278 (1-800-WALMART) to dispute it.

Frequently Asked Questions

No new charges once the cancellation is confirmed. If you're a paid monthly or annual member, you keep your Walmart+ benefits until the end of the term you already paid for, and it simply won't auto-renew. Free-trial cancellations end access immediately. Some members report surprise renewal charges around their billing date, so check your next statement to be safe.

Walmart's Terms of Use state the membership fee is "non-refundable except as expressly set forth in these Terms" — there is no published money-back window. Instead of a refund, paid members keep access through the end of the current term. Free-trial cancellations are explicitly "no refunds." If you were charged in error or want to ask for a discretionary refund, contact customer care at 1-800-925-6278; that's the only path, and it's at Walmart's discretion.

When your term ends you lose free shipping and free delivery on eligible orders, fuel savings (up to 10¢ per gallon at Walmart, Exxon, Mobil and Murphy stations), your included streaming service (Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium — whichever you chose), Mobile Scan & Go, and early access to deals. Any Plus Up add-ons are canceled at the same time. Purchases and account history stay in your Walmart account.

The steps are identical: Account › Walmart+ › Manage membership › Manage › Cancel › Confirm cancellation. The difference is timing — trial cancellations take effect immediately and forfeit the rest of the trial with no refund. To use the full trial, click Remind me later (it emails you 3 days before renewal) and cancel just before the renewal date instead.

Yes, if you're a paid monthly or annual member (trial members can't pause). From Manage membership, choose Pause. Each pause lasts one month, you get up to three non-consecutive pauses per rolling 12 months, and you won't be billed during a pause — but benefits are off until it resumes. Pause isn't available if you've enabled an ad-free streaming upgrade.

Yes. If you cancel but the billing cycle hasn't ended yet, go to Account › Walmart+ › Reactivate membership to restore the same term. Once the membership fully lapses, the Walmart+ page shows a Restart Walmart+ button that signs you up fresh (Annual $98/year or Monthly $12.95). If you qualify for government assistance, Walmart+ Assist offers 50% off — $40/year or $7/month.
