A 13-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
In the Lyft app, open the menu, tap Lyft Pink → Manage plan → Cancel plan, confirm on Are you sure?, then verify the hub shows Renewal Canceled. You keep Pink benefits until the end of the current billing period. If you have not used any benefits this cycle, Lyft's FAQ says you can get a refund of the membership fee — canceling does not stop a charge that is already pending.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.

See Lyft Pink's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Lyft Pink ranks #47 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Monthly Pink includes 1 free bike or scooter unlock per month (they do not roll over). Annual Pink includes up to 12 unlocks per year that you can spend anytime during the membership year. All Access adds unlimited classic-bike and scooter unlocks in eligible cities. Those unused unlocks disappear when your final billing period ends, so spend them before you cancel if you still need them.
Cancellation is in-app only. There is no lyft.com cancel page for Pink — you need the Lyft rider app on your phone. Update the app if the Lyft Pink row is missing from the menu; benefits and plan management require a current build.
Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the home screen, then tap Lyft Pink. The hub shows Member since…, an Active (or Renewal Canceled) badge, your benefits, and a Manage plan row at the bottom.
Tap Manage plan on the hub, or tap the Active badge to open the Plan active sheet (it shows your renewal date and price) and tap Manage plan there. You will see pause, change, or cancel options on paid plans — confirm you are looking at Pink (or Pink All Access), not a separate city bikeshare pass.
On Manage plan, tap Cancel plan — not Change payment method and not Upgrade to annual (if shown). Pause, when available, keeps the membership alive and only shifts your billing date. Free-trial Manage plan screens often show Cancel plan only, with no Pause row.
Lyft shows an Are you sure? screen listing benefits you will lose (Priority Pickup upgrades, member-exclusive pricing, bike or scooter unlocks, and more). Tap the purple Cancel plan button — not Don't cancel — to finish.
You should see Your plan is cancelled with the date your Pink perks end. There are no cancellation fees. Paid and trial members who cancel renewal keep Priority Pickup upgrades, member pricing, ride-cancellation credits, lost-item fee waivers, and bike/scooter perks until that end date. Tap Done.
Return to Menu → Lyft Pink. The status badge should read Renewal Canceled (not Active). Screenshot or note the end date from the confirmation screen. Benefits still appear on the hub until that date — that is expected period-end access, not a failed cancel.
Lyft's membership terms say canceling does not stop a charge that is already pending. If renewal is hours away, cancel first, then check your bank or card app the same day. A charge that posts after a completed cancel is the case to escalate with Lyft support or your card issuer.
If you only need a short break on a paid plan, use Pause from Manage plan: pick a future un-pause date (max 28 days). Monthly: once per cycle. Annual / All Access: twice per year. Your billing date moves out by the pause length. This is not available during a free trial — trial members can only cancel renewal.
Credit-card Pink perks often auto-enroll you and then convert to a paid Lyft Pink plan when the complimentary period ends. Open Manage plan before that date and cancel (or turn off auto-renew if the UI still shows the membership as complimentary). If you were already charged the annual fee by mistake, contact Lyft support right away — riders report refunds when they cancel promptly and have not used the paid period's benefits.
Lyft's membership FAQ: if you cancel before using any Pink benefits in the current billing cycle, you can receive a refund of the membership fee; if you have used benefits, no partial refunds. Terms still brand Pink as generally non-refundable and allow Lyft to offer a pro-rated refund with immediate cancel at their discretion. Unused-benefits refunds are the documented self-serve path — used months are period-end access only.
Upgrading an annual Citi Bike, Divvy, Bay Wheels, or similar pass into Lyft Pink can end or replace the standalone bike membership. If your goal is only to stop Pink billing, cancel Pink from Manage plan — do not "upgrade" or switch plans inside a bikeshare app unless you intend to change that membership too. Canceling Pink leaves your normal Lyft rider account, ride history, and Lyft Cash intact — you do not need to delete the Lyft account.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
