Quick answer

Rows has no separate "Cancel" button — you end a paid plan by downgrading to Free. Open Settings → Plans & Billing, click Change plan, pick the Free plan, then Select Plan and Downgrade. Your paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period, then the workspace drops to Free. Rows does not refund the remaining time.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open Plans & Billing

Sign in to Rows on the web, click your workspace avatar in the top-left corner, and choose Settings. In the settings sidebar, open Plans & Billing and stay on the Subscription tab. You'll see your current plan (e.g. Plus, $8/month per user), your renewal date, and a Change plan link on the right.

2

Click Change plan

Click Change plan in the top-right of the Subscription card. This opens the "Select a Plan" window listing every tier — Free, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise — with a Monthly / Annually toggle at the top.

3

Choose the Free plan

To cancel a paid subscription, pick the Free ($0) plan and click Select Plan under it. Your current paid plan will show "Current Plan" and can't be re-selected — that's expected. (Selecting a cheaper paid tier instead, like Pro down to Plus, follows the same flow but keeps you on a paid plan.)

4

Confirm the downgrade

A "Confirm downgrade" screen lists exactly what you'll lose on Free — for a Plus workspace that means AI Analyst calls drop to 20/month, Enrichment tasks to 500/month, the minimum scheduling frequency stretches to 365 days, guests fall to 3, Rows API calls drop to 500/month, and you lose white-labeled embeds. The order summary shows Free at $0.00. Click the yellow Downgrade button to proceed.

5

Give feedback or skip it

A "We're sorry to see you go" screen asks why you're canceling. This is optional — type a comment and click Submit feedback, or just click Skip question. Neither choice changes the downgrade.

Verify the downgrade is scheduled

You're returned to Plans & Billing. A green "Downgrade scheduled" toast confirms the exact date your new plan takes effect, and your plan badge now shows the days left on the paid tier. You keep every paid feature until the current billing period ends, then the workspace switches to Free automatically — no further charge.

Changed your mind? Cancel the downgrade

During the grace period before the change takes effect, the Plans & Billing page shows "Changed your mind? Cancel your downgrade to keep getting the most out of Rows." Click that link and your paid plan continues as normal at the next renewal. After the effective date passes, you're simply on Free.

If you have multiple users or an annual contract

Rows bills per user. Downgrading the workspace to Free ends billing for all seats at the next renewal. Per Rows' terms, a paid subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at the latest one day before the contract period expires, so downgrade before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You can also cancel in writing by emailing support@rows.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rows has no dedicated "Cancel subscription" button. You cancel a paid plan by downgrading to the Free tier: Settings > Plans & Billing > Change plan > select Free > Select Plan > Downgrade. The downgrade is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, after which the workspace runs on the Free plan with no further charges.

No further charge is taken once the downgrade is scheduled. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing period — you keep full access to your paid features (and remaining usage) until then. Rows shows the exact effective date in a confirmation toast and on the Plans & Billing page.

Rows' terms of use don't offer prorated refunds or a money-back guarantee for cancelled subscriptions. Because the downgrade only takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, you keep using the paid plan until then — that remaining access is effectively what you get instead of a refund. For a specific billing dispute, contact support@rows.com.

Yes. Until the effective date, the Plans & Billing page shows a "Cancel your downgrade" link. Clicking it keeps you on your current paid plan and it renews as normal. Once the effective date passes, the workspace is on Free and you'd need to pick a paid plan again to restore it.

Your spreadsheets aren't deleted, but Free applies tighter limits: AI Analyst calls, enrichment tasks, Rows API calls, guests, and scheduling frequency all drop, and white-labeled embeds are removed. Rows warns you "might need to rework some of your spreadsheets" — automations or integrations that relied on paid limits will stop until you re-upgrade.

Yes. Rows bills per user, so downgrading the whole workspace to Free ends billing for every seat at the next renewal. If you only want to reduce cost rather than fully cancel, you can instead switch to a cheaper paid tier (for example Pro down to Plus) through the same Change plan flow.
