Stay firm: repeat "Please process my cancellation" without explaining your reasons - do not engage with offers if you want to cancel

Get a confirmation number and ask for a confirmation email before hanging up

Service deactivates within 24-48 hours of confirmed cancellation

Monthly plans have a 7-day refund grace period; non-monthly plans have 30 days for prorated refunds (changed March 2024)

Monitor your bank statements for 3 months after canceling - if unauthorized charges continue, file a complaint at reportfraud.ftc.gov
