Quick answer

If Apple bills you: open the SiriusXM app → SettingsAccountManage subscriptionCancel subscription, skip Submit & see offers, then finish in the App Store with Continue to cancel. If SiriusXM bills you directly: cancel in the Online Account Center (Subscriptions tab), or via chat / 1-866-635-2349. Cancel stops future renewals — you keep listening until the end of the current paid period (except during the short grace window for direct-billed audio plans).

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open Settings in the SiriusXM app

First confirm who bills you — your card statement, or the “Billed through” line on the next screens. Apple, Google Play, Roku, and T-Mobile plans cancel with that provider; SiriusXM direct-billed plans use the Online Account Center, chat, or phone (optional steps below). For App Store streaming on iPhone: open the SiriusXM app, go to Settings, and tap Account.

2

Tap Manage subscription

On the Account screen, tap Manage subscription. You should see your email or username above that row.

3

Tap Cancel subscription

The Manage subscription page shows your plan name, price, renew date, and who bills you. Tap Cancel subscription under that summary. If the page says Billed through Apple, the next screens hand you off to the App Store — SiriusXM cannot finish the cancel for you.

4

Skip the reason survey and save offers

SiriusXM asks why you are canceling, with options from “Don’t listen enough” to “Billing/customer service issues.” Filling it out is optional — tap Skip in the top right, or pick a reason and tap Submit & continue to cancel. Do not tap Submit & see offers unless you actually want a retention deal.

5

Add custom feedback (optional)

If you select Other, a Share your feedback field appears. You can leave it blank or type a short note, then tap Submit & continue to cancel. Feedback is not required to leave.

6

Continue to the Apple App Store

SiriusXM shows a “We’re sorry to see you go” screen explaining that Apple handles the cancellation. Tap Continue to cancel (external-link icon) to jump into your Apple subscription settings. Back to manage subscription returns you without canceling.

Cancel in Apple Subscriptions

On Apple’s Edit Subscription page for SiriusXM, confirm the plan and renew date, then tap Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial (wording depends on whether you are still in a trial). Apple notes that you keep access until the shown end date. Cancel more than 24 hours before renewal or Apple may renew anyway.

Verify the canceled confirmation

Apple should show “You’ve canceled your subscription” in red with the exact date service ends, plus a Renew button if you change your mind. Screenshot or note that end date. Uninstalling the SiriusXM app does not cancel billing.

If this applies to you

If SiriusXM bills you directly (web, chat, or phone)

Sign in at care.siriusxm.com/account/manage/dashboard, open the Subscriptions tab, and follow Cancel Service — or cancel App-Only streaming bought on siriusxm.com via siriusxm.com/myaccount. You can also use chat at siriusxm.com/contactus or call 1-866-635-2349 (Audio/Infotainment). Expect discount offers; repeat that you want the cancellation processed and ask for a confirmation email or number before you hang up.

If you signed up through Google, Roku, or T-Mobile

Cancel with the provider that charges you: Google Play subscriptions, Roku’s manage-your-subscriptions page on my.roku.com (not inside the SiriusXM app), or T-Mobile Manage Add-Ons for carrier-billed plans. SiriusXM’s site will not show a working Cancel Service control for those bills.

Selling the car or deleting the app does not cancel

Per SiriusXM’s Customer Agreement, uninstalling the app, selling or trading in the vehicle, or simply stopping listening does not end a paid subscription. Transfer the radio to another vehicle if you still want the plan, or cancel through the correct billing channel above so renewals stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

No future renewals should post once the cancel is confirmed with the correct billing provider. For audio plans, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of your current Subscription Period — you keep listening until that date. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal (Apple, Google, and SiriusXM all warn about this). If charges continue after the end date, check whether a different provider (Apple, Google, Roku, T-Mobile, or SiriusXM) is still billing a second subscription.

For audio subscriptions purchased directly from SiriusXM, the default after the March 2024 policy change is no partial-period refund: cancel stops future charges and you keep service until the period ends. Limited grace windows still exist on direct-billed audio: monthly plans get a 7-day prorated refund window from the start of the subscription (not from later monthly renewals); longer-term plans get 30 days from the start of the period or each renewal charge. Cancel inside that grace window and the subscription ends immediately with a prorated refund if you request it. App Store, Google Play, Roku, and T-Mobile refunds follow those companies’ rules, not SiriusXM’s grace windows. EU/UK consumers may have additional withdrawal rights under local law.

Your online account profile and linked radios generally remain so you can sign back in later; satellite service in the car and app streaming stop when the cancellation end date hits. Favorites and for-you style recommendations are account-side — they are not a portable export like a Spotify playlist file. If you only pause listening without canceling, billing continues.

Cancel with the store or carrier that bills you. Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → SiriusXM (the in-app Manage subscription path above jumps you there). Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Roku: my.roku.com → manage your subscriptions. T-Mobile: account Manage Add-Ons and remove the SiriusXM feature. SiriusXM support cannot cancel an External Service subscription for you.

Yes. For App Store trials, use the same Manage subscription → Continue to cancel → Cancel Free Trial flow and finish before the trial converts (Apple’s screen shows when paid renewal starts). Vehicle-included trials from a dealer often do not auto-renew the same way as a paid App Store trial — still turn service off in the Account Center or by phone if you do not want paid service after the trial. Direct-billed paid starts follow the 7- or 30-day grace rules above if you want a prorated refund.

Yes. On Apple, the canceled subscription screen shows Renew. Direct-billed accounts can resubscribe in the Online Account Center or through SiriusXM offers. Returning customers often get win-back emails with steep promos a few days to a week after canceling — common on r/siriusxm — so it can be worth waiting for that message instead of re-subscribing at full list price immediately.
