How to Cancel Xbox Game Pass

Go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with your Microsoft account

Find your Game Pass subscription (Core, Standard, or Ultimate) and click "Manage"

Select "Cancel" or "Turn off recurring billing" and follow the confirmation prompts

Microsoft may offer a pause (up to 3 months) or downgrade as alternatives

After expiration, Game Pass games cannot be launched - but downloaded games remain installed and save data is preserved

Any games purchased outright (even with Game Pass discounts) remain yours permanently

Refunds may be available within 14 days of purchase if you haven't used the service significantly

On console: Xbox button > Profile & system > Settings > Account > Subscriptions > Cancel
