Step-by-step instructions

Sign in at evernote.com, go to Account Settings > Billing

Scroll down and click "Cancel your Evernote subscription"

Provide a reason and click "Cancel subscription" to confirm

Free plan is extremely limited: 50 notes max, 1 notebook, 250MB monthly upload, sync on 1 device + web

Notes are not deleted - but you cannot create new notes if you exceed the 50-note free limit

Export your notes before canceling: desktop app > select all > File > Export Notes > ENEX format (web lacks full export)

Annual plans may be refunded within 30 days of renewal - contact support. Monthly plans are non-refundable

If subscribed through Apple or Google, cancel through that platform and request refunds through them
