Quick answer

Sign in at fubo.tv/account in a web browser, open My Account, then Subscription, expand your plan and click Cancel. Turn down the discount with CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION, then click OK. A paid plan keeps working until the billing period ends, with no refund; a free trial started on the website ends at once. If Roku bills you, turn off auto-renew at my.roku.com instead.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Sign in at fubo.tv and open Subscription

In a web browser, go to fubo.tv/account, sign in with your Fubo email and password, and pick any profile on the Who's Watching? screen. Click the settings icon, choose My Account from the drop-down menu, select Subscription, then click your plan to expand its details. Fubo's help center gives the cancel steps for the website only and doesn't describe a cancel option in the TV or phone apps, so use a browser, on a computer if you have one. If the page says Roku Subscription, Roku bills you and this page can't cancel it: use the Roku step below.

  2. Scroll down and click Cancel

With the plan expanded, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Cancel. Fubo's own help article says you must complete every step before the subscription is canceled, so don't close the tab on the screen that follows.

  3. Choose Cancel Subscription, not Redeem Offer

Fubo may offer a discount to keep you, and while this screen is showing your subscription isn't canceled yet. REDEEM OFFER keeps the plan at the discounted price; CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION finishes the cancellation.

Heads up: The offer can be a real saving if you'd stay anyway, but make sure it lands. Several subscribers in December 2025 and July 2026 said the discount showed on their Subscription page and then vanished before the bill, and those who phoned Fubo got it applied. If you accept, screenshot the page showing the reduced charge.

  4. Click OK, then check the end date

Fubo shows a confirmation page saying you have successfully canceled; click OK. Then go back to My Account, then Subscription: a plan that is set to cancel shows the date and time it will end. Screenshot it and keep any confirmation email. If it doesn't show as canceled, Fubo's help center says to run the full cancellation steps again.

  5. If this applies to you

If Roku bills you, cancel through Roku

A Fubo plan bought on a Roku device or at roku.com is managed by Roku, and fubo.tv can't cancel or change it. Online, sign in at my.roku.com, open your subscriptions, select Fubo under Active subscriptions, choose Manage subscription and then Turn off auto-renew. On the TV, press Home, highlight the Fubo app, press the Star button on the remote, select Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew. Roku keeps the plan active until the end of the billing cycle. A Roku-billed free trial keeps running to its end date rather than stopping at once.

  6. If this applies to you

If the Cancel button spins or you can't reach the page

Fubo's terms let you cancel through chat or phone support as well as online, so you don't have to fight a broken page. Live chat (the chat icon at the bottom right of support.fubo.tv) and phone support at 844-441-3826 both run 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM ET, 7 days a week; a virtual assistant answers first, so ask for an agent. Don't cancel by email: the terms say requests by email, mail, social media, the Contact Us form or app reviews are not accepted. Subscribers reported an endless spinner on Cancel in April 2026, and in 2025 on accounts that were paused (Fubo has since stopped offering pauses). fubo.tv also sends visitors outside the US to a "not available in your location" page, so if you're traveling, cancel before you leave or call.

  7. If this applies to you

If you're on a free trial

Cancel the same way, but mind the timing. A trial started on fubo.tv ends the moment you cancel, so you lose access straight away, and Fubo gives only one free trial. A trial started through Roku runs to its end date. The trial length is shown before you finish signing up (5 days on Pro, Elite and Latino when we checked in November 2026), so note when it ends and cancel before then. If you cancel and then press Reactivate, Fubo bills the full price at once with no trial.

  8. If this applies to you

If you're on a quarterly, annual or commitment plan

Quarterly and annual plans are prepaid and renew for the same length unless you cancel before the term ends. Canceling stops the next renewal, you keep access to the end of the term, and Fubo doesn't refund the unused months. Fubo says most plans have no cancellation fee, but a promotional offer with a commitment period can carry an early cancellation fee, and its terms say an Annual Billed Monthly plan canceled before its 12th month owes the early termination fee shown when you signed up. Check your plan under Subscription and the Next Payment line on the Billing page before you cancel, so neither the fee nor the renewal date catches you out.

  9. If this applies to you

If you only want to pay less

Fubo doesn't offer a pause; its help center suggests canceling and reactivating when you want to come back. Two cheaper moves exist. Change Plan (My Account, then Subscription) moves you to a lower plan straight away and credits the difference on your next bill, and Manage Add-Ons drops extras such as Fubo Extra or News Plus from the next billing cycle. The Regional Sports Fee ($3.99 to $16.99 a month, by area) can't be removed from an account it applies to, and Pro and Elite each went up $15 a month in 2026, so if price is the problem, compare a lower plan's full total before deciding. A Roku-billed account can change plans in the Fubo app but can't add or remove add-ons.

  10. If this applies to you

If you're still charged after canceling

Fubo's help center lists four usual causes. The cancellation wasn't finished, so check that Subscription shows an end date. The charge covered a billing period that started before you canceled. A second Fubo account under another email address is still active, so try signing in with every address you use and contact Fubo if you can't find it. Or a third party such as Roku bills you and has to cancel it; if your statement names another company, cancel with that company. Don't request data deletion to stop a charge: Fubo says deletion is permanent, cuts off the account at once and leaves support unable to help with it, so cancel first and let the plan run out. Take your screenshot or confirmation email to chat or phone support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be charged after canceling Fubo?

Not once the cancellation is complete. A paid plan keeps working until the current billing period ends, then stops, and Fubo says you won't be billed again. Confirm that My Account, then Subscription shows the date and time your plan ends. Fubo says just logging in won't reactivate anything, but one subscriber said watching once more before the end date restarted billing, so check the page again after any visit and never press Reactivate unless you mean it. Quarterly and annual plans renew automatically for the same term, so cancel before the renewal date.

Can I get a refund from Fubo?

Usually not. Fubo's cancellation policy says it doesn't provide refunds for prepaid or partial months, and its terms make fees non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise. What you get instead is access until the paid period ends. If you were charged after canceling, or billed full price after accepting a discount offer, contact chat or phone support with your screenshot or confirmation email. Subscribers report getting promised discounts applied by phone, though that isn't published policy. A Roku-billed plan follows Roku's rules.

What happens to my Cloud DVR recordings after canceling Fubo?

You can watch them until your subscription expires; then Fubo deletes them automatically, and they don't carry over to Fubo Free. If you reactivate before the end date, your recordings, add-ons, favorites and billing date stay as they were. Once the plan expires you may get Fubo Free, over 170 free ad-supported channels for select former subscribers on select devices (not Roku or Samsung TVs), with no local channels or regional sports. Your Fubo account itself stays unless you ask Fubo to delete your data through its Privacy Center.

How do I cancel Fubo if Roku bills me, or if I actually have Hulu + Live TV?

A Roku-billed plan is canceled through Roku: at my.roku.com select Fubo under Active subscriptions, then Manage subscription and Turn off auto-renew; on the TV, highlight the Fubo app, press the Star button and choose Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew. To check who bills you, sign in at fubo.tv/subscription; a Roku plan says Roku Subscription. Hulu + Live TV is a separate service, even though Fubo and Disney combined the two businesses in October 2025. If you signed up for it, even through a link on fubo.tv, Fubo says cancellation is handled on Hulu's website, which the Hulu cancellation guide on this site covers.

Can I cancel Fubo during the free trial?

Yes, the same way as a paid plan. A trial started on fubo.tv ends the moment you cancel, and you won't get a second trial on that account. A Roku trial keeps running to its end date. The length is shown before you finish signing up (5 days on Pro, Elite and Latino in November 2026), so cancel before it ends. Cancel the trial itself: deleting the app or not watching doesn't stop the first charge.

Can I restart Fubo after canceling?

Yes. Before the end date, open My Account, then Subscription & Billing, and select Reactivate in the reminder at the top; your billing date, add-ons and recordings stay as they were. After the plan has ended, sign in at fubo.tv and choose Reactivate Subscription on the Welcome Back page. You won't get another free trial, Fubo bills the full price at once, and that day becomes your new billing date. Your old plan may no longer be sold (Fubo has closed several, such as Essential, Ultimate and Deluxe), in which case you pick a current one. A Roku-billed plan restarted on fubo.tv moves to Fubo's own billing.
