Quick answer

Sign in at zwift.com/billing/membership, select Manage Subscription, pick your membership, select Cancel Subscription, choose a reason and confirm with Cancel Membership, at least 24 hours before your next billing date. You keep riding until the end of the period you paid for, with no refund for unused time, except that a new customer who cancels a yearly plan within 30 days gets a full refund automatically (and loses access when it's issued). If Zwift offers a discount to stay, decline it to finish. If you subscribed through Apple's App Store, cancel with Apple instead.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Sign in at zwift.com/billing/membership in a web browser

Zwift cancels the memberships it bills on its website. Go to zwift.com/billing/membership and sign in with your Zwift account. Zwift's help describes cancelling only on zwift.com, not inside the Zwift or Zwift Companion apps, so on a phone use the phone's browser. If Apple bills you through the App Store, this page has no cancel option at all: use the Apple step below instead.

  2. Select Manage Subscription, then your membership

On the membership page, select MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION. Zwift then lists your membership: select Zwift Membership or Zwift Plus Membership, whichever you pay for. The same page shows your membership status and next billing date. Note that date before you go on, because Zwift needs at least 24 hours' notice before it.

  3. Select Cancel Subscription

The subscription details screen offers Pause Subscription next to Cancel Subscription. Select Cancel Subscription. A pause ends nothing: it starts when your current billing period ends and bills you again automatically when it runs out, as the pause step below explains.

  4. Pick a reason, and skip the discount if one appears

Zwift asks why you're leaving before it lets you finish, and any reason works. Since about early November 2026, r/Zwift members have reported that choosing the price as the reason, or saying they were switching to another service, brings up a discount offer, on monthly and yearly plans alike. To leave, choose to continue with the cancellation rather than taking the offer.

Heads up: Members who took it describe a real discount, not a trap, shown on their membership page. But accepting it keeps your membership renewing, so take it only if you've decided to stay. Zwift's help doesn't mention the offer, so it may not appear for everyone.

  5. Select Cancel Membership and check the end date

Select CANCEL MEMBERSHIP to finish. Your membership stays active until the end of the billing cycle you've already paid for, monthly or yearly, and your Zwift progress is saved. Zwift says to cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date, or at least 7 days before it if you still pay by Direct Debit, so cancelling on renewal day can be too late. Go back to zwift.com/billing/membership afterwards and check that the cancellation shows as scheduled. If you decide to stay before the end date, you can remove the scheduled cancellation on the same page.

  6. If this applies to you

If you subscribed through Apple (iPhone, iPad or Apple TV)

Apple bills and manages an App Store subscription, and Zwift says it can't update or modify one, so you won't see a cancel option on zwift.com. Cancel with Apple instead: on an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Zwift and cancel, using the Apple ID that pays. Paying Zwift with Apple Pay is different: that's a membership Zwift bills, cancelled on zwift.com as above. App Store subscriptions can't be paused, can't take promo codes and can't change plans, and Zwift sells its yearly plans only directly. To move to Zwift billing, cancel with Apple, wait for the paid period to end, then start a new membership at zwift.com/billing/membership. Google Play isn't an option on Android: Zwift's forum manager has said Play Store billing isn't offered, so an Android member pays Zwift directly and cancels on zwift.com.

  7. If this applies to you

If you bought a yearly plan less than 30 days ago

Zwift's 30-day money-back guarantee covers new customers on a yearly membership. Cancel within the first 30 days and Zwift says you'll automatically receive a full refund. Your access ends when the refund is issued, not at the end of the year, so finish any rides you care about first. The guarantee doesn't apply to existing or returning customers, including monthly members who switched to yearly billing. After day 30, or if you don't qualify, a cancelled yearly plan simply runs to its end date, with no refund for the months left.

  8. If this applies to you

If you only want to drop Zwift Plus

You don't need to cancel to go back from Zwift Plus to Zwift. On zwift.com/billing/membership, select CHANGE PLAN, then Change to Zwift, and confirm with CHANGE PLAN. Zwift says this takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you keep Plus, at the Plus price, until then. Moving up to Plus works the other way round: it applies at once, with a prorated charge. The same screen switches between monthly and yearly billing, also from your next renewal. App Store subscriptions can't change plans on zwift.com.

  9. If this applies to you

If you just need a break, know how a pause works

Zwift lets a membership it bills pause for 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days, monthly or yearly: select MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION, your membership, Pause Subscription, then a length. The pause starts when your current billing period ends, not when you set it, and doesn't bank unused days, so a yearly member's pause only begins at renewal. Nothing is charged during the pause, and billing restarts automatically when it ends. You can't extend a pause or move its resume date; if you need longer, cancel before the resume date. Trials, App Store subscriptions and memberships with a pending plan change or cancellation can't be paused. Running stays available throughout.

Heads up: A pause is a postponed bill, so put the resume date in your calendar. And don't resume early to set up another pause: Zwift says resuming charges you.

  10. If this applies to you

If Cancel Subscription is missing or the page shows an error

Check who bills you first. One forum member kept getting "a vague error message that said an error occurred and try again later", reached support, and learned "I paid for my subscription via Apple ID and could only cancel it from there"; once they knew, it took 30 seconds in the App Store. If Zwift bills you, check the membership page too: in a 2022 forum case where the cancel page kept flashing back, someone from Zwift who checked the account found the membership was already cancelled. Otherwise contact Zwift support from zwift.com/contact-us with the error and a screenshot, which is what Zwift's FAQ has asked for. Support opens with a chatbot, and forum members say that answering No to its suggestions a few times brings up the option to send a request to a person.

  11. If this applies to you

If your membership came with a trainer, or you're cancelling a hardware order

Cancelling your membership doesn't cancel or return hardware. A Zwift Ride, a trainer or a Zwift Cog and Click kit is a Zwift Shop order, handled under Orders & Billing at zwift.com/shop/account and through Zwift's returns process, and the membership cancel flow doesn't touch it. Some trainers have come with membership time, redeemed as a promo code on a membership Zwift bills. Zwift's promo code article says codes expire after the stated period and can't be paused or extended, and its terms say a membership keeps renewing, at the price shown for after any promotional period, until you cancel. So if you don't want to pay once the included time runs out, cancel before it ends, the same way as above.

  12. If this applies to you

If you're still charged after cancelling

Start at zwift.com/billing/membership: check that the membership shows as cancelled and read your billing history, which is what Zwift's billing FAQ says to do with an unexpected charge. Zwift's FAQ has also pointed to a common cause: another Zwift account, such as a family member's, paying with the same card. Then check the App Store, since deleting the Zwift app or account doesn't touch an Apple subscription. One r/Zwift member who said they had cancelled online weeks earlier, and deleted the app, found a renewal on their card in January 2026; one reply asked whether they had a confirmation email, had checked the membership page afterwards, and had subscribed through the App Store instead. If none of that explains it, contact support with the date, amount and currency of the charge, a screenshot of it, and the last four digits of the card or your PayPal email, as Zwift's FAQ asks.

  13. If this applies to you

Don't delete your account to cancel

Deleting your Zwift account is permanent: Zwift says all data and progress are removed and it can't be reversed, and it asks you to cancel your membership first. It also can't stop an App Store subscription, which only Apple can cancel. The delete option lives at zwift.com/delete-account, and the iPhone and Apple TV apps have a Delete Account button under your public profile that sends you there, so don't mistake it for a cancel button. Cancelling alone keeps your levels, bikes and kit for whenever you return.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be charged after canceling Zwift?

Not once the cancellation is scheduled in time. Zwift's terms say a membership renews automatically for periods of the same length until you cancel, and that you must cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge (Zwift's help says 7 days for Direct Debit). You keep access until the end of the month or year you've paid for. Two things keep billing regardless: an App Store subscription, until you cancel it with Apple, and any second Zwift account that uses your card.

Can I get a refund from Zwift?

Usually not for unused time. Zwift's terms say you won't get a pro-rated refund for cancelling early and that payments are non-refundable, though Zwift "may, in our sole discretion, provide a refund or discount in certain cases". The exception is the 30-day money-back guarantee on yearly plans: a new customer who cancels a yearly membership within 30 days automatically gets a full refund, and access ends when it's issued. It doesn't cover existing or returning customers, including monthly members who switched to yearly. Monthly plans have no guarantee; new customers get the 14-day free trial instead. The terms also allow for refunds "required by law", which can matter where there's a statutory cooling-off period, as in the UK and EU, but Zwift doesn't say how that applies to a membership, so ask support. An App Store subscription follows Apple's payment terms, so refunds for it go through Apple.

What happens to my Zwift progress after I cancel?

It stays. Zwift says your progress is saved after cancellation, and an App Store subscriber's in-game progress stays on the Zwift account, separate from the Apple ID. What changes is riding: Zwift's cancel article says riding requires an active membership, so don't count on the free 25 km a month that older guides mention. Running on Zwift stays free; a membership is only needed for automatic incline on a compatible treadmill. Only deleting your account removes your data, and that can't be undone.

How do I cancel Zwift if I subscribed through Apple or on Android?

If Apple bills you, cancel with Apple: on an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Zwift, signed in with the Apple ID you subscribed with. Zwift.com shows no cancel option for these, and Zwift says it can't change them. Android is simpler: Zwift doesn't sell memberships through Google Play, so an Android member pays Zwift directly and cancels at zwift.com/billing/membership in a browser. Paying Zwift with Apple Pay also counts as paying Zwift directly.

Can I cancel the Zwift free trial?

Yes, and you need to if you don't want to pay. The 14-day trial comes only with monthly plans, for eligible new customers, and includes full Zwift Plus whichever plan you picked. A payment method is required, and when the trial ends Zwift automatically bills the monthly plan you chose at signup. Cancel before the trial ends, the same way as above. Zwift's terms say you keep access through the end of the trial period, and a trial can't be paused. Yearly plans have no trial; the 30-day money-back guarantee plays that role.

Can I rejoin Zwift after canceling?

Yes. Sign in at zwift.com/billing/membership, select REJOIN, choose a plan, select JOIN NOW and pay. Your progress is waiting. Returning members don't get the free trial, which is for people new to Zwift, or the 30-day money-back guarantee on yearly plans. As of November 2026, Zwift costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year in the US, and Zwift Plus $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year, plus tax. Zwift may court lapsed members too: one r/Zwift member who cancelled in April 2025 reported a win-back offer by email that July. If you rejoin through Apple, use the same Apple ID as before, or the membership may attach to a different Zwift account.
