Quick answer

Sign in at hevy.com, open SettingsManage Subscription, then click Cancel Subscription (website-billed only). If Apple or Google bills you, cancel in the App Store or Google Play instead. You keep Hevy Pro until the current period ends — Hevy does not stop access the moment you cancel.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Confirm where Hevy bills you

Check a recent bank or App Store / Google Play receipt before you start. Website purchases (Stripe or older Paddle) show Cancel Subscription inside Hevy. Apple and Google subscriptions do not — you have to cancel in those stores, even if you also use the Hevy app or hevy.com.

2

Sign in at hevy.com or in the Hevy app

Open hevy.com in a browser, or open the Hevy iOS / Android app, and sign in with the same account that has Pro. Deleting the app does not cancel anything — the subscription lives on your account or on Apple / Google.

3

Open Settings

In the web app or mobile app, go to Settings. This is the same hub Hevy uses for account, preferences, and billing — you need it before Manage Subscription appears.

4

Click Manage Subscription

In Settings, open Manage Subscription. You should see your active Pro plan (monthly, yearly, or Lifetime). Website-billed accounts get Cancel Subscription listed under that plan.

5

Click Cancel Subscription

Under the subscription listed on Manage Subscription, click Cancel Subscription. Confirm any prompt Hevy shows so the cancellation actually saves — stopping at the plan details screen leaves auto-renew on.

6

Verify your access-until date

After canceling, confirm Manage Subscription (or your confirmation email) shows that Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Hevy will not bill again after that date if the cancel stuck. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal — subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled inside that window.

7

Know what you keep on Free after Pro ends

When the paid period ends you drop to Free, but Hevy does not wipe your Pro work. Routines above the free limit of 4 stay on the account — you just cannot create new ones. The same apply-to-keep / block-new-creates pattern covers custom exercises (7 free max) and Pro-only body measurements. Year and all-time graph history hide on Free, but Hevy keeps that workout history on its servers if you resubscribe later.

8

Request a refund within 14 days if you need one

Canceling stops future renewals; it is not automatically a refund. For a purchase you regret, contact support within 14 days. Website and Google Play refunds go through hello@hevyapp.com (include your Hevy username and reason). App Store refunds go through Apple — Hevy cannot process those itself.

9

Do not delete your Hevy account just to stop the bill

Canceling Pro stops renewals and leaves your workout history, routines, and custom exercises on the account. Deleting the account is a different action and can destroy the training log you already built. Cancel the subscription; leave the account alone unless you truly want everything gone.

If this applies to you

If you signed up through Apple or Google Play

Cancel on the store that charges you. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Hevy → Cancel Subscription. On Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions → Hevy → Cancel. Hevy's website Cancel Subscription option only appears for website purchases — store-billed Pro will keep renewing if you only cancel inside Hevy.

Bought Lifetime? Cancel any active monthly or yearly plan

Lifetime is a one-time Pro purchase. It does not automatically stop an existing monthly or yearly subscription. After you buy Lifetime, cancel the recurring plan in Manage Subscription (web) or in Apple / Google (store-billed). If both stay linked, you can be charged for Lifetime and the recurring plan until support untangles it at hello@hevyapp.com.

Using Hevy Coach? Cancel personal Pro separately

Hevy Coach and personal Hevy Pro are separate products. When Coach takes over, Manage Subscription may show Coach instead of Pro, but a monthly or annual personal Pro can keep charging in the background. Cancel personal Pro while you are coached if you do not want both bills. Lifetime Pro stays on the account and comes back if you leave Coach later.

Canceling during a free trial

If you are on a free trial, cancel before the trial end date using the same Manage Subscription or App Store / Google Play path. Unused trial time is forfeited if you purchase a paid subscription mid-trial. After a clean cancel, you should not be charged when the trial would have converted.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — once the cancel is confirmed, Hevy stops future renewals. You keep Pro features until the end of the period you already paid for. The catch is billing channel: canceling on hevy.com does not stop an Apple or Google subscription. Confirm the store subscription is gone, and cancel at least 24 hours before renewal so auto-renew does not fire.

Hevy's pricing FAQ says to contact support within 14 days of purchase to qualify for a refund. Website (Stripe / older Paddle) and Google Play refunds are handled by Hevy at hello@hevyapp.com — include your username and reason; eligibility can still depend on how long the sub has been active. App Store purchases must be refunded through Apple (usually within 14 days). Outside that window you typically keep access until period end with no cash back. EU and UK buyers may also have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right on new subscriptions.

Nothing is wiped when Pro ends. You keep logged workouts, and any routines or custom exercises you created while on Pro remain available — Free just caps new creates at 4 routines and 7 custom exercises. Historic Pro-only body measurements stay visible; you cannot add new Pro-only measurement types on Free. Longer graph history (1 year / all time) is locked on Free but returns if you resubscribe, because Hevy keeps that history on its servers.

Cancel in the store that bills you. iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Hevy. Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions → Hevy → Cancel. Hevy's in-app / website Cancel Subscription control is for website purchases; store-billed Pro will keep renewing if you only cancel inside Hevy.

Yes. Use Manage Subscription on hevy.com / in the app for website trials, or cancel in Apple / Google if the trial started through a store. Cancel before the trial end date to avoid the first paid charge. If you buy a paid plan while a trial is still running, any unused trial time is forfeited.

Yes. Sign back in and purchase Pro again from Manage Subscription or hevy.com/pricing — your workouts, routines, and stored history are still on the account. Returning customers usually pay the current list rate ($2.99/mo, $23.99/yr, or $74.99 Lifetime). Occasional first-year annual sales are for first-time Pro subscribers only, so a past Pro account typically will not see those intro discounts again.
