Migrate apps and data before you cancel

Laravel Cloud bills in two parts: a fixed monthly organization plan fee and usage on top. Canceling stops the plan from renewing, but at the end of the billing cycle any remaining apps, environments, databases, and stored data are deleted. Export databases, move custom domains, and shut down or migrate environments before that date — you will not get the data back after termination.

Open Settings → Billing

Sign in at cloud.laravel.com with an Admin account, select the organization in the top-left switcher, then click Settings in the top nav and Billing in the left sidebar. You'll see Your plan (for example Growth at "$20.00 per month + usage"), a Change plan link, and a Cancel subscription section with a red Cancel subscription button.

Click Cancel subscription

In the Cancel subscription section, click the red Cancel subscription button. Laravel Cloud opens a Summary screen titled "Cancelling your subscription" with a timeline for your organization.

Read the cancellation timeline

The Summary lists three milestones: today (cancellation is scheduled), end of billing cycle (remaining apps, environments, and databases — including data in storage — are deleted), and two days later (your final invoice is generated and charged). Expand Show apps and resources if you need a reminder of what still runs. When you are ready, click I understand and wish to unsubscribe.

Type your organization name to confirm

On Confirm cancellation, Laravel Cloud asks you to type the organization name exactly (the placeholder repeats the name). The red Cancel subscription button stays available once the name matches. There is also an I changed my mind, go back link if you want to abort.

Click Cancel subscription to finish

After typing the organization name, click the red Cancel subscription button. Laravel Cloud schedules the cancel — you are not cut off immediately.

Verify the Scheduled status

You return to Settings → Billing. Under Cancel subscription a yellow Scheduled badge shows how many days remain until the subscription ends, plus the exact end date. A toast confirms "Your subscription was successfully cancelled." Use Resume subscription on the right if you change your mind before the cycle ends.

Downgrade instead of canceling (optional)

If you still need Laravel Cloud but not your current tier, click Change plan on the Billing page, pick a lower plan (Starter, Growth, or Business), and confirm with Update plan. Downgrades keep higher-plan features until the end of the current cycle, then features like custom domains and autoscaling may drop — check dependencies first.

Delete the organization only if you mean it

Canceling the subscription is not the same as deleting the organization. After the plan ends you still see invoices and members, but you must resubscribe before deploying again. Deleting the organization (Settings → General → Delete Organization) is permanent, requires a clean billing period with no outstanding usage, and cannot be undone.

If this applies to you

If you were charged during the Starter free month

New Starter orgs get the first 30 days of the $5 plan fee waived plus $5 in usage credits. Usage above those credits can still bill during the free month. If you cancel before the trial/promo window ends and are charged in error, Laravel's terms point you to finance@laravel.com — that path is for inadvertent trial charges, not a general mid-cycle refund.

Frequently Asked Questions

You will not be charged another plan renewal after a scheduled cancel. You keep the current plan until the billing cycle ends. Usage through that end date still appears on a final invoice, which Laravel Cloud processes two days after the cycle ends. After that, deploy and paid resources stop until you resubscribe.

Laravel Cloud's Terms of Service say you are not eligible for a prorated refund of the subscription fee for the then-current period when you cancel — you simply keep access until the cycle ends. Fees are otherwise non-refundable except if Laravel terminates your account without cause (pro-rata of prepaid unused time). EU/UK 14-day withdrawal rights may still apply depending on how and where you signed up. For an inadvertent charge during a free trial/promo window, contact finance@laravel.com.

Nothing is deleted the day you click Cancel subscription — cancellation is scheduled. On the billing cycle end date, any remaining apps, environments, and databases (including data in storage) are deleted.
