A 9-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Sign in at app.obvious.ai, open Settings → Workspace → Billing, scroll to Cancel subscription, then confirm with the red Cancel Subscription button. You keep access until the end of the current billing period — Obvious does not refund the period you already paid.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.
Wondering if you're paying more than you used to? before you cancel — see what the alternatives cost.
See Obvious's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Obvious ranks #174 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Go to app.obvious.ai and sign in. Open Settings from the sidebar, then under Workspace click Billing (help docs also call this Billing & Spend). You'll see your plan (for example Personal at $25/month), payment method, credit balance, Auto-reload, and billing history.
Scroll past Plan, Payment, Credits, Auto-reload, and Billing history. At the bottom of the page is a quiet Cancel subscription text link — that is the cancel entry point, not Manage Plan.
Before you cancel, click Configure next to Auto-reload credits and disable automatic purchases. Help docs say Auto-reload needs an active paid subscription — turn it off so you are not charged for credit packs while you still have access through the period end.
Click the Cancel subscription link. Obvious opens a Cancel Subscription confirmation modal — there is no pause offer or discount screen in this flow.
Read the modal: you will retain access until the end of your billing period. Click the red Cancel Subscription button on the right. Keep Subscription closes the modal and leaves billing unchanged.
Back on Billing, a yellow banner says Subscription will be canceled and shows the exact end date, plus a Resume subscription button. A toast confirms the cancel is scheduled for the end of the billing period. You keep premium access until that date; after it, paid features stop.
Until the end date on the banner, click Resume subscription on Billing to undo the cancel and keep renewing. After that date, rejoin by starting a paid plan again from Billing — purchased credits you already bought stay on the account until used; included subscription credits refill only while a paid plan is active.
Non-admins cannot manage subscriptions. Ask a workspace admin to open Settings → Workspace → Billing and cancel, or contact help@obvious.ai / the in-app chat for account access questions.
Obvious's Terms name the provider as Flatfile, Inc. d.b.a. Obvious. Charges may appear under Obvious, Flatfile, or a Stripe descriptor. Canceling in-app is still the correct path — do not confuse the legal name with a different product.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
