A 8-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
On a trial: open track.toggl.com/subscription (Admin Console → Billing), open the ⋮ menu on Toggl Track, click Cancel trial, then Cancel trial now — Premium ends immediately and you drop to Free. On a paid plan: use Cancel Subscription (same page); access continues until the billing-cycle end date. Toggl does not refund cancellations or renewals.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.

See Toggl Track's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Toggl Track ranks #62 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Sign in at track.toggl.com, open the Admin Console, and go to Billing (help articles also call this Subscription — same page at track.toggl.com/subscription). On the Overview tab, Your plans lists each Toggl product. For a trial you'll see Toggl Track as Trial - Premium with a price estimate of 0.
On the Toggl Track row, click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu. You'll see Change plan, Manage seats, and Cancel trial in red. If Billing also lists Toggl Focus, use that product's own ⋮ menu — canceling Track does not cancel Focus.
Choose Cancel trial. Toggl opens a confirmation modal titled "Important: your trial will finish" with a red Cancel trial now button and a Stay on trial link underneath.
Read the warning, then click Cancel trial now. Stay on trial backs out without ending Premium. There is no reason survey or save-offer carousel on this trial path — just the confirm modal.
After confirming, Billing Overview should show Toggl Track as Free with a price estimate of 0. Your time entries, projects, and clients stay on the account — you lose Premium-only features (and Starter features if you were on a paid Starter plan) right away when ending a trial.
Paid Starter or Premium cancel from the same Billing / Subscription page. Help center steps: open Subscription, click Cancel Subscription in the My Plan section (or use the ⋮ menu next to the app), then continue through the confirmation modals. Your organization stays on the paid plan until the end of the current billing cycle — that date appears in My Plan. Canceling stops future charges; it does not refund the period you already paid.
If your active user count is within the Free plan limit, canceling a paid plan downgrades the organization to Free when the cycle ends. If you are over that limit, Toggl suspends the organization instead — you cannot track new time until you reduce active users or restore a paid subscription. Vacant licenses are also not removed mid-cycle; they stay billed until the period actually ends.
Canceling is not account deletion. On Free, Toggl deletes inactive free-plan organizations and workspaces after six months with no new or edited time entries (you get reminder emails first). Paid organizations are exempt. Export time data from the help center export tools if you are walking away for good.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
