Do not delete or deactivate your Peanut account first

Peanut Plus lives with Apple, Google, Stripe, or Peanut's HSA/FSA billing — not with your profile. Peanut states plainly that "deactivating or deleting your account will not automatically cancel your subscription." Cancel the store subscription first, then deactivate or delete only if you still want to leave the app.

Open Settings in the Peanut app

Open Peanut, go to your Profile, and tap the Settings gear. Under the SUBSCRIPTION section you will see a single row: Manage Subscription. Support links (Help, Guidelines, Contact team Peanut, Restore purchases) sit above it — none of those cancel Plus.

Tap Manage Subscription

The Manage subscription screen says upgrade, downgrade, cancel, and resubscribe are all managed in the App Store. At the bottom you get three outlined buttons: Share Feedback, Check our FAQ, and Go to App Store.

Tap GO TO APP STORE, then cancel Peanut

Follow the handoff into Apple's subscription list. Select Peanut (often listed as Peanut: Find Mom Friends or similar), tap Cancel Subscription, then Confirm. Note the date your Plus access ends — you keep Peanut Plus features until then, and renewals stop after that date.

Skip the app: cancel from Apple Settings directly

You do not need Peanut's Manage Subscription screen at all. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Peanut → Cancel Subscription. On a computer signed into the same Apple Account, use apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Peanut's own help points to Settings > Subscriptions or the App Store for the same result.

If you subscribed on Android through Google Play

Cancel in Play, not in Peanut: open the Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Peanut → Cancel subscription. You can also use play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions in a browser. Peanut's help lists Settings > Subscriptions or the Play Store for Android cancels.

If this applies to you

If you bought Peanut Plus on the website (Stripe) or with HSA/FSA

App Store and Play Store cancels will not stop those bills. For a website signup with a Stripe receipt, Peanut says to use Settings > Subscriptions in the app or email support@teampeanut.com. For the HSA/FSA healthcare-funds option, email support@teampeanut.com — that is the documented cancel path.

If you are still in a free trial

Peanut says you can cancel the free trial any time up to the day before it renews, via the App Store, Play Store, or support@teampeanut.com. Cancel early — weekly and other short cycles leave little room to forget. Feedback (optional) is under Profile → Manage Subscription → Share Feedback; it is not required to cancel.

If you already got charged and want a refund

Cancel the renewal first, then ask the store that charged you. For App Store purchases use reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play use the order's refund request. Peanut's terms say payments are non-refundable in most cases, with exceptions where local law requires them — EU/UK buyers may have a 14-day withdrawal right on digital purchases unless they waived it at checkout.

Not if you canceled on the platform that renews you (App Store, Google Play, Stripe/website, or HSA/FSA support). Apple and Google keep Plus active until the end of the current period, then stop renewals. Confirm the red cancelled state and end date in the store's subscription sheet — Peanut's in-app Manage Subscription screen alone is only a handoff, not proof of cancel.

Usually only through Apple or Google for store purchases, and only at their discretion. Peanut's Terms say Premium Service payments are non-refundable in all circumstances unless applicable law requires otherwise. European customers have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right (email support@teampeanut.com with the withdrawal form in the Terms), which may still require payment for service already provided if you asked for immediate access. Cancel first, then request any refund — a refund does not stop the next renewal by itself.

Your account stays. Peanut is free to download and use; Plus only speeds friend-finding (See Waves, profile boost, friend filters, read receipts, rewind, and related perks). When Plus ends you drop those paid features but keep the free experience — swipe, match, chat, groups, and communities still work. Canceling Plus is not the same as deleting your account.

Use the channel that charged you. Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Peanut → Cancel Subscription (or Peanut Settings → Manage Subscription → GO TO APP STORE). Google Play: Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Peanut → Cancel subscription. Website/Stripe: Settings → Subscriptions or support@teampeanut.com. HSA/FSA: support@teampeanut.com only, per Peanut's help center. Peanut cannot cancel an App Store or Play subscription for you from inside the app.

If the trial already converted, cancel the renewal immediately and request a refund from Apple or Google if you qualify — Peanut does not control store refunds.

After canceling, your free account remains, and you can tap Unlock Plus again any time for weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual options (availability and prices vary by country and are shown in the app). Returning offers may differ from the price you had before. If you only wanted See Waves for a short window, cancel as soon as you are done so a weekly plan does not keep renewing.
