Quick answer

Sign in at app.emergent.sh, open Account SettingsPlans & Invoices, click Manage Plan, then Cancel Subscription. Skip the annual upsell and both 50-credit offers, then click Confirm Cancellation. Canceling turns off auto-renewal — you keep the plan until the paid period ends. Emergent does not give partial refunds for unused time.

Emergent was the one you remembered

The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Spend leftover credits and export your apps first

Canceling does not cut you off today. You keep the paid plan and remaining subscription credits until the billing date already on Plans & Invoices. Those monthly credits then expire. Top-up credits stay on the account. Help also says to save the repo to GitHub (Standard or Pro) and download anything you cannot rebuild. Each live deployment costs 50 credits per month and only stays up while the account still has 50 credits — even after you cancel.

2

Open Plans & Invoices

Go to app.emergent.sh and sign in. Click your profile, then Account Settings. In the left sidebar, open Plans & Invoices. You will see the current plan (Free, Standard, or Pro), the next billing amount and date, and a Transactions list. Official help still says "Manage Plan" for this page — same place.

Emergent Account Settings on Plans & Invoices, showing a Standard plan, next billing of $20 on July 4, 2026, 100 credits / monthly, a Switch to Annual 58% off row, a Manage Plan button, and a Standard • Monthly transaction
3

Click Manage Plan, then Cancel Subscription

Click Manage Plan. The Manage your plan screen compares Standard and Pro and may flash a Limited offer to switch to annual. Scroll to the bottom-right and click Cancel Subscription. Help-center copy still says Cancel Plan — the live label is Cancel Subscription.

Manage your plan with Standard and Pro cards, a Limited offer banner to upgrade to an annual plan at 58% off, Upgrade buttons on both cards, Contact Us at the bottom left, and Cancel Subscription at the bottom right
4

Pick a cancellation reason

A What changed? dialog asks why you are leaving. Options include not wanting a monthly subscription, finishing a project, cost, credits running out too fast, and Other reason. Select one so Continue enables. Keep current plan takes you back to the paid plan.

What changed? dialog with I finished my project / pausing for now selected, plus radios for monthly subscription, affordability, credits running out too fast, value, not working well, and Other reason, with Keep current plan and Continue
5

Skip "Here's 50 bonus credits on us"

Emergent then offers 50 bonus credits that "never expire" and stack on top of the monthly pool. The stay button is Claim 50 Credits. Click No thanks, cancel.

6

Click Confirm Cancellation

The next dialog, Help us learn from your experience, has an optional comment box. You can leave it blank. Click the red Confirm Cancellation button. Keep current plan is the other stay path.

7

Skip the last Special Offer

A darker Special Offer can repeat the same 50 bonus credits pitch after you confirm. Click No thanks. Claiming the credits here is still a stay path, not a receipt.

Check Plans & Invoices for the end date

Open Plans & Invoices again. The next-billing line should be gone or marked canceled, and you keep paid features through the date you already paid for. Emergent does not email a separate refund. If the Standard or Pro card still shows a future charge, the cancel did not land — try the Stripe path below or email support@emergent.sh from the address on the account.

If this applies to you

If Cancel Subscription is missing, use the Stripe billing portal

An older help FAQ still lists Credits → Manage Subscription → Cancel Billing (via Stripe). That opens Stripe's customer portal instead of the in-app funnel. Cancel the Emergent Labs subscription there if the Account Settings button is gone or the modal errors. Individual plans are billed through Stripe on the web — a card on file is not an App Store or Google Play subscription, so iPhone Settings → Subscriptions will not list Emergent.

Do not delete the account unless you want the apps gone

Account deletion also stops future charges, but it is not the same as cancel. Help says everything is wiped 45 days after you confirm — projects, deployments, unused subscription credits, and unused top-up credits — even if an annual plan still has months left. You can revoke deletion inside those 45 days; the subscription stays canceled until you resume it separately. Cancel first if you only want the bill to stop and the repos to stay.

Enterprise or Business: this flow will not stop the invoice

The public Individual catalog is Free, Standard, and Pro. Business and Enterprise are custom, sales-led plans. They do not use Cancel Subscription on Plans & Invoices. Ask your workspace admin or email support@emergent.sh. A leftover "Team" SKU still appears in older help copy; it is not priced on the Individual tab, so do not expect this web funnel to cancel it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not for a new period. Emergent's terms say canceling turns off auto-renewal. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account drops toward Free and no further subscription charge should post. Confirm Plans & Invoices no longer lists a next billing date. A second Emergent account or a one-time credit top-up is a separate bill.

Canceling itself returns no money. Terms §4.7 say there are no partial refunds for unused days, including leftover months on annual Standard ($204) or Pro ($2,004). Payments are non-refundable unless Emergent decides otherwise. They will look at billing errors, duplicate charges, and other cases at their discretion if you email support@emergent.sh with the account and invoice number; approved refunds go back to the original payment method, and they say they reply within 14 days on cases they take. That 14-day line is a response time, not a cooling-off window — Emergent does not publish a day-count refund window. EEA and UK consumers may have a 14-day withdrawal right under local law; write support and say you are using it. Consumed credits are not restored just because a generation failed.

Projects stay on the account. Subscription credits remain spendable until the paid period ends, then they expire. Top-up credits do not expire, including after the subscription ends, and are used after the monthly pool. Deployments keep running only while the account still holds 50 credits (each app costs 50 credits per month). Export to GitHub before that floor is gone if the live URL still matters. Deleting the account is the step that removes projects and deployments after 45 days.

Individual Emergent is a web subscription billed by Stripe, not an iPhone or Play Store in-app purchase. Use Account Settings → Plans & Invoices → Manage Plan → Cancel Subscription first. If that control is missing, the help FAQ still documents Credits → Manage Subscription → Cancel Billing, which opens Stripe's portal. After canceling there, access continues through the current paid period. Apple or Google login is only how you sign in — it does not move billing into Settings → Subscriptions.

Emergent does not document a consumer free trial. You start on Free (10 credits/month on the official pricing page) and pay when you upgrade to Standard or Pro. If a promotional first charge is on Transactions, cancel before the next full-price date so the renewal does not land. There is no separate in-flow "trial cancel."

Yes. Open emergent.sh/pricing or Manage Plan and pick Standard or Pro again. The account, projects, and any leftover top-up credits are still there. Subscription credits that expired at period end do not come back. There is no documented returning-customer discount. If you canceled by mistake before the period ended, resume the plan from Account Settings rather than deleting anything.
