Quick answer

Pillow bills through the Apple App Store, so you cancel on your iPhone — not on a website. Open Pillow, go to Settings → Pillow Premium → Manage → Change or cancel subscription, skip the survey and the discount offer, then tap Confirm in Apple's dialog. You keep Premium until the end of the current period. Pillow issues no refunds — any refund request goes to Apple.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open Pillow's subscription screen

In the Pillow app, tap Settings (top-right corner), scroll to the Pillow Premium section, and tap Manage, then Change or cancel subscription. You'll land on the Pillow Premium screen showing your plan (for example "Pillow Premium - Annual") and your renewal or trial-expiry date.

2

Get past the cancellation survey

Pillow asks why you're leaving, with options like "The subscription is too expensive" or "The sleep analysis was not accurate." Pick any reason (or "Other") to activate the button, then tap Continue. The survey is retention friction — your answer changes nothing about the cancellation.

3

Decline the discount offer

Next Pillow dangles a "limited-time" retention discount — typically -25% off the first year with a countdown timer. This is a one-time intro price, not a permanent rate: after the first year it renews at the full annual price. If you actually want out, tap No, thanks.

4

Confirm in Apple's dialog

Because the subscription lives with Apple, the final step is Apple's own Confirm Cancellation sheet. It states the exact date your service ends. Tap Confirm (not "Not Now") to finish. Auto-renewal is now switched off.

5

Verify the "Cancelled" status

Back in Pillow, the screen header should now read Cancelled and confirm you keep all Premium features until your period end date. That confirmation is your proof the cancellation went through — screenshot it if you want a record.

Alternative: cancel straight from iPhone Settings

You never actually need the Pillow app. Open iPhone Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Pillow, then tap Cancel Subscription. This is the same Apple system that the in-app flow hands off to, and it works even if the app is misbehaving.

Canceling during the 7-day free trial

Pillow Premium starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial's expiry date or Apple charges you the full year automatically. The steps are identical — after canceling, you keep trial access until the day it was set to end, then drop to the free tier.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once you confirm the cancellation, Apple turns off auto-renewal and won't bill you for the next period. You keep every Premium feature until the end of the period you already paid for — Pillow shows the exact end date on the "Cancelled" screen.

Pillow itself issues no refunds and can't process one — it has no user accounts and no access to your purchase. Because billing runs through Apple, any refund request must go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple reviews refunds case by case; recent, unused, or accidental charges have the best odds.

Not anymore. As of 2026, Pillow Premium is sold on an annual basis only, with a 7-day free trial up front. Older monthly and quarterly subscriptions have been retired, so the yearly plan is the single paid option — the free tier stays available if you'd rather not subscribe.

It's a retention offer: usually 25% off the first year, wrapped in a 24-hour countdown to create urgency. It's a one-time intro price, not a permanent one — after the discounted first year the subscription renews at the full annual price. The same offer reappears each time you enter the cancel flow, so the countdown is theatre.

You won't lose past data, but access to it narrows. After cancellation you revert to the free tier, which limits sleep history and locks advanced analysis, heart-rate detail, and audio recordings behind Premium. Data already written to Apple Health stays in Health regardless, and re-subscribing restores full access to your Pillow history.

Cancel directly through Apple: iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Pillow > Cancel Subscription. This is the same Apple subscription system the in-app flow hands off to, so it fully cancels Pillow even if the app's own screen freezes or the "Change or cancel subscription" button doesn't respond.
