Quick answer

Cancel Yazio Pro on whichever platform you bought it. On iPhone, open Profile → Settings → Account → Subscription → Manage Subscription, skip Yazio's retention screens, and confirm in Apple's Cancel Subscription sheet — or go straight to Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Open your Yazio account settings

In the Yazio app, tap the Profile tab, then Settings, then Account. The Account screen lists your Subscription with the date it's paid through — tap Subscription to manage it.

Check where your subscription is billed

The Subscription screen shows your current plan and, just under the heading, how it's billed — "Subscribed via App Store", Google Play, or the Yazio website. This decides where you cancel. For an App Store subscription, tap Manage Subscription at the bottom.

Skip the "Going so soon?" reminder

Yazio first shows a retention screen counting the days left on your plan and reminding you of your Pro perks. Ignore the large Stay Pro button and tap the smaller Cancel subscription link above it.

If this applies to you

Pick a reason (optional)

Yazio asks why you're canceling, with options like "I don't use Yazio enough", "Pro is out of my price range", or "I've reached my goal". This is optional feedback — tap any option (or Other) to continue. It does not affect your cancellation.

Skip the "what you'll lose" screen

A final Yazio screen lists the Pro features you'll lose — AI food tracking, ad-free use, smart food ratings — with shortcut buttons back into the app. None of these stop your cancellation. Tap Cancel subscription again to hand off to Apple.

Confirm in Apple's cancellation sheet

The native Apple sheet slides up titled "Confirm Cancellation" with the date your service ends. Tap Cancel Subscription, not Keep Subscription. This is the only tap that actually stops the billing.

Verify the cancellation registered

Back on Yazio's Subscription screen you'll see a banner saying your cancellation request is being processed — check back the next day. Auto-renew is now off; the plan stays active until its end date, then expires automatically. For certainty, confirm the status in your Apple Account subscriptions too.

You can skip Yazio's retention screens entirely. Open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Yazio, and turn off auto-renewal. The result is identical — access until the period ends, then expiry.

Google, not Yazio, manages Play purchases. Open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Yazio, and tap Cancel subscription. It stays active until the current period ends.

Go to yazio.com/app/account, log in, find your active subscription, tap Cancel subscription, and confirm with Unsubscribe. Website purchases carry a 14-day EU right of withdrawal — within 14 days of buying you can request a refund by emailing help@yazio.com.

Don't rely on deleting the app or account

Uninstalling Yazio or deleting your Yazio account does not cancel the subscription — billing continues through Apple, Google, or the website until you cancel there. Always cancel on the platform that charges you first.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once you turn off auto-renewal, Yazio won't bill you for the next period. You keep Pro until the end date you've already paid for, then the subscription expires and your account switches to the free version. The most common Yazio billing complaint is forgetting to cancel before an annual renewal, so cancel as soon as you decide to leave — the end-of-period access is the same whether you cancel early or late.

Canceling does not automatically refund you. You request a refund on the platform where you bought Pro: for App Store purchases, use Apple's refund process (reportaproblem.apple.com); for Google Play, use Google's refund process; Yazio itself cannot refund Apple or Google purchases. If you bought directly on the Yazio website, EU law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal — email help@yazio.com within 14 days of purchase.
