Quick answer

Revolut Business does not have a separate "Cancel Membership" button — you change plan down to a cheaper tier (usually Basic). In the Business app: profile icon → Billing & plan (or the Your plan banner) → Change plan / See plans → pick the lower plan → skip the stay / annual offers → Schedule the change for the end of your billing cycle. Plan downgrade fee is $0. Closing the Business account entirely is a separate process. This is not the consumer Revolut Premium/Metal flow.

Open Billing & plan and tap Change plan

In the Revolut Business app, tap your profile icon, then open <strong>Billing &amp; plan</strong> (help centre copy also calls this the <strong>Your plan</strong> banner). Review the current plan fee and next payment date, then tap the white <strong>Change plan</strong> button at the bottom. On web, the same chooser lives at <a href="https://business.revolut.com/pricing-plans" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">business.revolut.com/pricing-plans</a> under <strong>See plans</strong>.

Swipe to the lower plan and tap Get Basic

On <strong>Choose a plan</strong>, the tabs are Enterprise, Scale, Grow, and Basic. Swipe or tap until <strong>Basic</strong> (or whichever cheaper tier you want) is selected. Ignore the upgrade cards for Enterprise and higher tiers. Tap <strong>Get Basic</strong> (wording shows your region's Basic price).

Push past the benefits-loss screen

Revolut Business shows <strong>Are you sure you want to lose all these benefits?</strong> with the allowances you give up on Scale (or your current plan): exchange allowance, no-fee international and local transfers, complimentary Metal cards, and similar. The bright white button is <strong>Stay on Scale</strong> (or Stay on your current plan). Tap the muted <strong>Switch to Basic</strong> instead.

Pick a reason for switching plans

A screen asks <strong>What's your reason for switching plans?</strong> with options such as too expensive, missing a feature, found a better offer, or Other. Tap one to continue &mdash; there is no Skip control on this screen in the current iOS flow.

Skip the annual plan save offer

If you pay monthly, Revolut Business may interrupt the flow with <strong>You could save X% with an annual plan</strong>, comparing annual-per-month maths to your monthly fee. The white button is <strong>Switch to annual</strong>. Tap the grey <strong>Switch to Basic</strong> to keep leaving the paid tier.

Schedule the downgrade for the end of the cycle

The <strong>Downgrade plan</strong> sheet explains that free allowances and the billing cycle end on the date the new plan starts. Prefer <strong>Schedule for [date]</strong> so you keep paid-plan benefits through the period you already paid for. Only use <strong>Downgrade now</strong> if you intentionally want allowances to reset immediately (or the checkout screen says you are eligible for an automatic refund).

Confirm Your change to Basic is scheduled

A confirmation sheet should read <strong>Your change to Basic is scheduled</strong> (or your chosen lower plan) and name the date your plan and allowances update. Write that date down. Go back to Billing &amp; plan afterward and check that the next payment / plan lines match what you scheduled.

If the app blocks you on Flexible Cash Funds

You may see <strong>We can't switch your plan yet</strong> with a checklist item to withdraw everything from <strong>Flexible Cash Funds</strong> so that balance is 0, plus a deadline before the scheduled switch is cancelled. Empty that product, then return to Billing &amp; plan and finish or re-confirm the change. <strong>Stay on Scale</strong> on this sheet abandons the switch.

If this applies to you

Watch for the Metal card $49 clawback

If you move to a plan with fewer complimentary Metal cards and you ordered extras within the last three months, Revolut Business charges <strong>$49</strong> per additional Metal card (US help). Waiting until three months after issue avoids that fee. This is separate from the $0 plan downgrade fee.

If you need to close the Business account entirely

Downgrading only changes the subscription tier. To close the account: Settings &rarr; <strong>Business account</strong> &rarr; <strong>Close business account</strong> (or <a href="https://business.revolut.com/account-termination" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">business.revolut.com/account-termination</a>). You must be an owner or admin, bring every balance including crypto and Merchant to zero, clear pending transactions, and download statements first &mdash; access ends after close. Revolut will not pause an account; there is no temporary freeze.

Do not look for this in Apple or Google subscriptions

Business plan fees are charged against your Revolut Business balance (Billing &amp; plan shows <strong>Pay with Main</strong> or your chosen account), not through the App Store or Google Play. Nothing appears under iOS Settings &rarr; Subscriptions for the plan itself. Cancel by changing plan in the Business app or web pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once a downgrade is scheduled or completed, Revolut should not renew the old paid tier. Marketing FAQ copy says when you close the account, the subscription ends at the end of the current monthly or annual cycle with nothing owed after. After a plan change to Basic (or another lower tier), you pay that tier's fee going forward &mdash; Basic is the low end of the ladder, not always free in every country. Confirm Billing &amp; plan shows the scheduled change and the next payment you expect.

Usually no mid-cycle refund for simply leaving a paid plan. Automatic refunds apply only in narrow cases Revolut lists: you signed up for a new plan in the last 14 days and have not used the account; you upgraded mid-cycle and unused days on the old plan are credited (enterprise monthly-to-monthly upgrades excluded); or the account was limited for reasons outside your control. Checkout tells you if you qualify. Support agents cannot process refunds outside those cases. US fee schedules list the cancellation and plan downgrade fee as $0.00. EU/UK consumers may have additional statutory withdrawal rights &mdash; raise those in-app if they apply.

The Business account stays open. Balances, cards, team members, and transaction history remain; you lose the higher plan's allowances (exchange, transfer quotas, complimentary Metal cards, and similar) on the switch date. Mid-cycle immediate moves reset allowances right away per the fee schedule. Downgrading is not the same as closing the account or deleting the company profile.

You did not &mdash; Revolut Business plan fees are not App Store or Google Play subscriptions. They debit your Business account. Use Change plan / See plans in the app or at business.revolut.com/pricing-plans. If a card product or third-party charge ever appears under Apple/Google, cancel that item there, but the Basic/Grow/Scale ladder itself is handled inside Revolut Business.

If you took a new plan in the last 14 days and have not used the account, Revolut's refund policy lets you switch to a lower-priced plan and receive an automatic refund as a separate transaction when checkout says you are eligible. That is the main documented early-exit refund path. Generic trial language on fee pages is market-specific ("in some cases") &mdash; trust the eligibility notice on the Downgrade plan checkout screen over marketing blurbs.

Yes. Revolut states there is no limit to how often you can change your Business plan. Upgrade again from See plans / Change plan; upgrades can start immediately or at the next cycle. There is no documented returning-customer discount on Business plan fees &mdash; you pay the published Grow or Scale rate for your region and billing period.
