Step-by-step instructions

Sign in at account.tidal.com

Open account.tidal.com in a browser and sign in with the email that pays for Tidal. That is the documented cancel start. You can also sign in at tidal.com, then use the avatar menu on the web player. Uninstalling the app does not stop billing.

Click Manage Subscription

On the web player, click your avatar and choose Manage Subscription. On the account site, use Subscription in the left nav (or My Account in the header). Help center labels this page Subscription — same destination.

Skip the Family plan banner

The account page can open on Your Profile with a Family plan pitch at the top. That banner is an upgrade, not the cancel path. Current Family is $19.99/mo for up to six members (you plus five) in the same country. Scroll to Subscription in the left nav.

Open Your Subscription

The profile page lists Your Subscription: plan name, payment method, and the next renewal date. That card is a summary. Use the Subscription item in the left sidebar if you are not already on it.

Open the subscription card

Click through to the full Your Subscription card. You should see Your Subscription and Payment Details. Payment Details is only for the card and billing history — it does not stop renewal.

Skip Change plan

The detail card shows the plan you are on, features, price, and renewal date. Current Tidal-billed US list prices are Individual $11.99/mo, Student $6.99/mo, and Family $19.99/mo (plus tax). Clicking Change plan (or an older Change to HiFi control) keeps you subscribed on another paid tier. Stay on this card and scroll for Cancel subscription.

Click Cancel subscription

Scroll below the price and renewal date. Cancel subscription is a text link under the card — not one of the filled buttons. Click it. If the Payments tab says your payment is managed by Apple or Google, stop here and cancel in that store instead.

Confirm the cancellation

Tidal asks you to confirm cancellation after that click. Confirm it. There is no extra screenshot for this step in this guide — finish the confirm prompt on your account. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. Tidal's terms say the cancel takes effect the day after that last day. The account, playlists, and favorites stay unless you later delete the account.

If this applies to you

If Apple, Google Play, or a carrier bills you

Tidal's site will not complete a cancel when a third party charges you. Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Apple's subscription help page. Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tidal → Cancel subscription. A carrier or other telecom partner: cancel in that company's account portal. Tidal cannot refund Apple or Google charges. Deleting the Tidal account also does not stop those renewals.

Do not delete your Tidal account to stop the bill

Cancel is Subscription → Cancel subscription. Delete is a different control on the Profile page (account.tidal.com/profile). Deletion is permanent: playlists, favorites, listening history, and the profile are gone, and Tidal forfeits any days left on the paid period. If you only want to stop charges, cancel and leave the account alone.

If this applies to you

Family plan: only the primary holder can stop the bill

On Family, the primary account holder cancels from Subscription on account.tidal.com. Members can be removed under the Family tab; that does not cancel the manager's renewal. Canceling the Family plan ends paid access for every member at the end of the current period. Student discounts do not apply on Family, and Tidal DJ is not sold as part of Family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not if the cancel registered before the next billing date. Tidal will not start another cycle. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for — that is not a new charge. Confirm on the Subscription page that renewal is off, and cancel at least a day before the renewal date shown there.

In the US, Tidal's refund policy is no refund of fees already paid, including a renewal you forgot to cancel. You keep access until that period ends. UK, EU, and EEA customers can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase if they have not streamed or downloaded anything — using the service ends that right. Brazil has a 7-day unused window. Apple or Google Play purchases must be refunded by those stores; Tidal cannot do it. Unauthorized charges: tell your bank, then contact Tidal Support.

Canceling leaves the account in place. Playlists, favorites, and history stay so they are there if you resubscribe. Tidal does not offer an ad-supported free plan, so when the paid period ends you lose streaming. Offline listening is a paid-plan feature — downloaded tracks stop working once access ends. Deleting the account is the step that permanently wipes the library; do not do that if you only meant to cancel.

Cancel on the platform that charges you. iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions or the Play Store subscriptions list. Carrier or other telecom partner: that company's account portal. On account.tidal.com, the Payments tab states when Apple or Google manages payment. Tidal's Cancel subscription link will not stop those bills.

Yes. New customers who have not used Tidal before can get a 30-day trial. Use the same web path: account.tidal.com → Subscription → Cancel subscription → confirm, or cancel in Apple/Google if the trial was billed there. Cancel before the trial end date or it converts to a paid Individual, Student, Family, or DJ plan. Tidal's terms allow only one trial — if you cancel and come back later, the next sign-up is billed.

Yes. Sign in and pick a plan at tidal.com/pricing. Your playlists and favorites are still on the account if you canceled instead of deleting. Returning customers are charged the current price (Individual $11.99/mo, Student $6.99/mo, Family $19.99/mo in the US as of September 2026, plus tax). Eligible US Individual or DJ Individual sign-ups sometimes have a Cash App 25% off offer for 12 months — that offer cannot be combined with a free trial.
