A 9-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Twist has no separate "cancel membership" button — you stop Unlimited by switching the team to Free. As a team admin, open twist.com, go to Settings & Members → Billing → View billing details, click Switch to the Free plan, then Confirm this change. The team drops to Free immediately (not at the end of the billing period), and history older than one month becomes unviewable until you upgrade again.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.

See Twist's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Twist ranks #106 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Canceling Twist Unlimited means switching the team to the Free plan right away — there is no "keep Unlimited until next bill" grace period. On Free, threads and messages older than about one month stop being viewable or searchable (Twist still stores them; Unlimited brings them back). Only a team admin can change billing. If you are not an admin, ask whoever owns the team to run these steps.
Sign in to Twist in a web browser. Click your team name in the top-left corner, then choose Settings & Members. In the team section of the Settings sidebar, click Billing. You should see a teal View billing details button (paid teams also show Manage payment method, Manage billing information, and View invoices).
Click View billing details to open the team billing page (Overview). Confirm you are on Twist Unlimited and note the next bill date and seat count — that is the paid state you are leaving.
Scroll to Billing actions at the bottom of the Overview tab. Click Switch to the Free plan — that is the cancel path. Ignore Switch to Paying Annually if your goal is to stop paying; that only changes the billing cycle.
A Switch to the Free plan modal opens. It shows how much your account will be credited and warns that outstanding invoices must be paid before you can cancel. Optionally type a reason in Your reason for downgrading, then click Confirm this change.
The Overview page should show a green banner: You've successfully changed your team's plan. The current plan reads Twist Free, and Unlimited appears below as an upgrade pitch. Billing has stopped for Unlimited seats — the Free plan stays free forever with the one-month history limit.
Twist's help center documents a separate path: Billing → View billing details → Payment methods → hover your card → Delete → OK. That removes the card so auto-renewal stops while you keep Unlimited for the rest of the paid cycle. It is not the same as Switch to the Free plan — use it only if you want to finish the prepaid period first.
If you bought Unlimited within the last 30 days, switch to Free first (steps above), then contact Twist support to request a full refund. Mid-cycle self-serve cancel outside that window credits the team account; removing members after 30 days also becomes credit toward future charges, not a card refund.
Switching to Free stops Unlimited billing and keeps the workspace, channels, and recent history. Deleting a Twist account or team is a different, destructive action. If your only goal is to stop paying, use Switch to the Free plan and leave the account alone.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
