Quick answer

Open the Uber Eats or Uber app, tap AccountUber OneManage membership, scroll to End membership, then skip the survey and the savings save offer with End Uber One. Step-by-step instructions

1

Open the Uber Eats or Uber app

Tap the Account icon, then tap Uber One. Either app reaches the same Uber One hub, so it does not matter which one you signed up through. Cancellation works on web at uber.com/uberone too, but in-app is faster on mobile.

2

Tap Manage membership and scroll to End membership

On the Uber One hub, tap Manage membership. The next page shows your current plan, payment method, and a clearly labeled End membership row at the bottom. Tap End membership.

3

Pick a reason or skip the survey

Uber asks "Why do you want to end your membership?" with six radio options ranging from "Not satisfied with Uber One benefits" to "Something else". You can pick one and tap Next, or use the Skip survey and cancel now link to bypass it entirely.

4

Skip the "$30 average savings" save offer

Uber pitches "Members save $30 on average every month" with a Keep Uber One CTA on top and a smaller End Uber One link underneath. Tap End Uber One in red text to confirm.

5

Verify your expiration date

You're returned to the Uber One hub. The yellow banner now reads "Uber One expires in [N] days. Renew to keep saving" with the exact charge date if you change your mind. That banner is your confirmation — benefits run through that date, then your account drops to non-member pricing.

Cancel at least 48 hours before renewal

Uber's policy is that cancellations made within 48 hours of the renewal date may still process the next charge. If you are inside that window, contact Uber Support (800-253-9377, 24/7) and ask to cancel before the upcoming charge — agents can usually back-date the cancellation if it is hours away.

If you signed up through Apple or Google

The End membership option will not appear in the Uber app if a third party handles your billing. Cancel through Apple (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions) or Google Play (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions) instead. Your Uber One benefits continue through the current paid period after the third-party cancel.

Free trial: benefits end immediately, not at trial end

If you're in a free trial and cancel, Uber One benefits stop the moment you confirm — there is no grace period through the trial end date. Paid members keep benefits until the period ends; trial members lose them on the spot. If you want the full trial, cancel on the last day instead of early.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once you cancel, Uber will not bill you again. Paid members keep $0 delivery fees, ride discounts, priority support, and member pricing through the end of the current billing period — there are no prorated refunds. Free-trial members lose benefits the moment they confirm cancellation, with no grace period through the trial end date.

Uber does not offer prorated refunds on Uber One, even on annual plans or if you cancel the day after being billed. The policy is that you keep benefits until the period ends — no cash back. EU and UK users have a 14-day right of withdrawal on new subscriptions under consumer law, which can override Uber's policy on a fresh signup. Outside that window, contact Uber Support if you were charged within hours of canceling and ask for a goodwill refund.

Only the Uber One membership ends — your Uber and Uber Eats account stays exactly as it was. Saved addresses, payment methods, ride history, order history, and family/teen profiles are all preserved. You just lose the member benefits ($0 delivery fees on eligible orders, ride discounts, priority support, member pricing) on the expiration date and start paying standard fees again.

You must cancel through whichever platform charges you — Uber's app will not show an End membership option in this case. iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Uber One > Cancel Subscription. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions or open the Play Store app > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. After canceling there, your Uber One benefits continue through the current paid period.

Yes, and the flow is identical to a paid cancellation: Account > Uber One > Manage membership > End membership. Trial cancellations take effect immediately — you lose member benefits the moment you confirm, not at the end of the trial. If you want to use the full trial, cancel on the last day rather than early.

Yes. The yellow banner on the Uber One hub shows a Renew button you can tap any time before the expiration date to undo the cancellation. After your access ends, open Account > Uber One in either app and tap Join — your account, addresses, and history are still there. Returning members are not eligible for a second free trial, so you start on a paid period right away.
