Step-by-step instructions

1

Sign in to your Quicken account on the web

Cancellation happens on the Quicken account site, not inside the Simplifi budgeting app. Sign in to My Account and you'll land on the Overview page with four cards: Subscriptions, Sign in & Security, Personal Info, and Access Your Apps.

2

Open the Subscriptions page

Click Manage on the Subscriptions card, or select Subscriptions in the left "My Account" menu. Your Quicken Simplifi membership appears as a card showing the price, the renewal date ("Renews {date}"), and a Manage Subscription link.

Click Manage Subscription, then Cancel Renewal

The Manage Subscription window opens under the "Your Subscription" heading, with your plan, price, renewal date, and payment info. Click the red Cancel Renewal link.

4

Confirm and verify "Renewal Canceled"

Work through the short confirmation (Simplifi may show a reason survey — it's optional). When it's done, the card changes to a "Renewal Canceled" state. That's your proof auto-renew is off.

5

Note your expiry date — you keep access until then

Cancelling only turns off auto-renewal. You keep full access to your data and profile until the paid year ends on the renewal date you just saw. Cancelling by itself does not trigger a refund — for money back, use the 30-day guarantee below.

Want money back? Use the 30-day guarantee

Simplifi has a 30-day money-back guarantee for a full refund of the purchase price for any reason — and it explicitly covers being charged for an auto-renewal, so long as you request it within 30 days of that charge. Submit the Refund Form or contact Simplifi Support.

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store

If you bought Simplifi as an in-app purchase on iPhone or iPad, Quicken's site can't cancel it. Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device, tap Quicken Simplifi, then Cancel Subscription. Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple, not Quicken.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Clicking Cancel Renewal turns off auto-renewal, so Simplifi won't bill you for the next year. You keep full access until your current paid year expires on the renewal date shown on the card. If a charge slips through anyway, Simplifi's guarantee lets you request a refund within 30 days of that auto-renewal.

Yes, within the 30-day money-back guarantee. You can get a full refund of the purchase price for any reason within 30 days of buying — and, importantly, within 30 days of an auto-renewal charge too. Request it via the Refund Form or by contacting Simplifi Support. Cancelling renewal on its own does not refund you; it only stops the next charge.

You keep access to your accounts, transactions, and budgets until the paid term ends. Once it expires, Simplifi is read-limited/locked — the app stops syncing new transactions and you lose active access to your dashboard. If you resubscribe, your existing data and connected accounts come back; Simplifi doesn't wipe your history the moment the plan lapses.

If you bought Simplifi as an in-app purchase on an iPhone or iPad, cancel through Apple: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Quicken Simplifi > Cancel Subscription. Quicken's account website can't cancel an Apple-billed subscription, and any refund for that purchase is handled by Apple.

Simplifi doesn't offer a free trial — it charges up front and backs it with a 30-day money-back guarantee instead. So the equivalent of "cancelling during a trial" is asking for a refund within 30 days of your purchase, which gets you your money back in full.

Yes. Signing back in and starting a new subscription restores your existing data and account connections. Watch the price when you return: the deep discount is a first-year new-member offer, and returning at the regular rate is more expensive than the intro you may have paid before.
