Quick answer

In Base44 open Settings → Plan and billing → Manage Plan, click Cancel Plan, read the downgrade warning and click Continue to Cancel, then confirm with Cancel Subscription. You keep your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, then drop to Free — Base44 doesn't refund partial periods. Cancel in-app and check for the "set to cancel" banner; don't rely on emailing support.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open Plan and billing

In Base44, open Settings, then under the Workspace section click Plan and billing. You'll see "You're currently using the [your] plan" with your renewal date, Manage Plan and Upgrade Plan buttons, and your Billing History.

Base44 Settings on the Plan and billing tab showing "You're currently using the Starter plan", a "Your subscription renews on April 30, 2026" line, Manage Plan and Upgrade Plan buttons, and a Billing History row for a $20.00 paid Starter Plan - Monthly invoice
2

Click Manage Plan, then find Cancel Plan

Click Manage Plan to open the Manage Subscription page. It shows Subscription Details — your plan, credits per month, price, and next billing date — with a Cancel Plan button at the top-right of that card, beside Upgrade Plan. Click Cancel Plan.

Read the downgrade warning, then click Continue to Cancel

An "If you cancel your subscription…" panel explains that starting on your renewal date your plan drops to Free: your message credits and integration credits fall to the Free limits (for Starter, 100 → 25 message and 2,000 → 100 integration), and a "Features you'll lose" list shows Unlimited Apps, Private Apps, Base44 Badge, and In-App Code Editing. Click the red Continue to Cancel.

Confirm with Cancel Subscription

A "We're sorry to see you go…" survey asks your main reason for canceling — radio options like "I'm using a different tool" or "Other" — with an optional feedback box. None of it is required. Click the red Cancel Subscription button at the bottom to finalize.

5

Verify the "set to cancel" banner

Back on Manage Subscription, an amber banner now reads "Your plan is set to cancel on [date]. Reactivate to keep your current credits and features." and the buttons change to Explore Plans and Reactivate Plan. That banner is your proof the cancellation registered — your plan keeps working until that date, then drops to Free.

Spend your remaining credits before the end date (optional)

Canceling doesn't refund the rest of the period, and Base44 credits don't roll over. On the cancel date your message and integration credits drop to the Free-tier caps (25 message / 100 integration per month). If you have paid credits left this cycle, use them before then.

If your billing runs through Wix or a bundle

Base44 billing is "Base44 Payments, powered by Wix." Standalone Base44 subscriptions cancel with the in-app flow above. If your charge appears under Wix or a bundle and the in-app Cancel Plan option doesn't show, cancel from your Wix account's subscriptions/billing instead, or contact Base44 support.

Canceling is not the same as deleting your apps or account

Canceling only stops billing and drops you to Free at the period end — your apps and data stay, just under the Free caps (max 5 apps, no private apps, no in-app code editing). Deleting individual apps or your whole account is a separate action under Account settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not for the next period, as long as you cancel before your next billing date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and the "Your plan is set to cancel on [date]" banner shows exactly when your paid plan ends and drops to Free. There are no prorated refunds. Watch your statement, though — Base44 users have reported charges continuing after an email-only cancellation request, so cancel in-app and keep the dated banner as proof.

By default no. Base44's terms state that fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable, and renewal charges are non-refundable once a renewal term begins, "except as required by mandatory local law." Canceling stops the next charge and you keep access to the end of the paid period — that's the practical refund. EU and UK customers may have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a new subscription. For a genuine billing error, contact Base44 support (powered by Wix) rather than relying on an email cancellation that may not be processed.

Your apps and data stay on your account — canceling drops you to the Free tier at the period end, it doesn't delete anything. What you lose on the end date is paid capacity: your monthly message and integration credits fall to the Free limits (25 message / 100 integration), and Free-tier caps kick in (max 5 apps, no private apps, no in-app code editing). Credits don't roll over month to month. If you want your data actually removed, that's a separate account-deletion step in Account settings.

Base44 billing runs on "Base44 Payments, powered by Wix." A standalone Base44 subscription cancels in-app via Settings → Plan and billing → Manage Plan → Cancel Plan. If your charge instead appears under Wix or as part of a bundle and the in-app Cancel Plan flow doesn't appear, cancel from your Wix account's subscriptions or billing page, or contact Base44 support. Your paid access continues until the current period ends.

Base44 has a permanent Free tier (25 message and 100 integration credits a month) rather than a time-limited trial of a paid plan — the Free tier never bills, so there's nothing to cancel if you stay on it. Paid plans (Starter, Builder, Pro, Elite) bill from day one, monthly or annually. To avoid the next charge after upgrading, cancel before your renewal date; you keep the paid plan until the period ends, then revert to Free.

Yes. While your plan is still in its run-out period, the Manage Subscription banner shows a Reactivate Plan button that reverses the cancellation in one click and keeps your current credits and features. After the end date you drop to Free, but you can re-subscribe anytime from Plan and billing — your apps and data are still there, so you pick up where you left off.
