Go to dropbox.com/account/plan and sign in
Click "Cancel plan" or "Downgrade" next to your current plan
Work through 3-5 retention screens (discounts, plan changes, storage warnings) - decline all to proceed
Select a reason for canceling and click "Confirm change" to downgrade to Basic (free, 2GB)
Files are NOT immediately deleted - account becomes read-only if over 2GB (can download/delete but not upload)
After an extended period over the limit, Dropbox may remove files - download everything important before canceling
Dropbox generally does not offer refunds for partially used periods - some users report success contacting support directly
If billed through Apple or Google, cancel through those platforms instead
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
