Step-by-step instructions

Open the app menu and tap My Check Pro

Open the Check app and go to the menu, the screen that lists Ride credit, My rides, Invoices and Payment methods. Tap My Check Pro. It shows how much you have saved on your rides, your Pro since date, the date the membership renews and your monthly price. There is no website route: ridecheck.app has no account login, so the app is the only place to cancel.

Tap Cancel subscription

Scroll past the My benefits list to the red link at the bottom of My Check Pro. Check's help center calls it Cancel subscription (Abonnement opzeggen in the Dutch app). Some app versions label the same link Cancel membership.

Confirm with Cancel Check Pro

A sheet slides up headed Are you sure?, showing the date your Pro benefits end, which is the last day of the period you have already paid for. Tap Cancel Check Pro to confirm. That is the only confirmation. Close backs out and leaves the membership running.

Check that My Check Pro now says Expires on

Back on My Check Pro, the screen should read Your membership will expire soon, and the Renews on line changes to Expires on with your end date. You keep every Pro benefit until then. If it still says Renews on, the cancellation did not go through, so tap the cancel link and confirm again.

If you looked for it in App Store or Google Play subscriptions

You will not find Check Pro there. Check charges the membership to the payment method saved in your Check account (listed under Payment methods in the app menu), not through Apple or Google in-app purchase. For the same reason, deleting the app does not stop Check Pro. Only the cancel link inside My Check Pro does.

If a charge arrives after you cancel

Check bills moped and e-bike rides in arrears: once a month by direct debit, between the first and fifth working day, or straight away once the total passes €25, plus a €1.25 transaction fee per invoice. Municipal fines are passed on with a €15 administration fee. So a charge after you cancel is usually last month's rides or a fine, not Pro. Open Invoices in the app menu to see what it was for. If an invoice is wrong, contact support@ridecheck.app or the in-app chat. Check asks you not to reverse the direct debit yourself, and its terms let it pass on bank and administration costs if you do.

If you cannot get into the app

Reinstall Check on any phone and sign in to the same account, then cancel as above. If you cannot sign in at all, note that Check's help center only documents the in-app cancel. Email support@ridecheck.app or use the online complaint form on Check's support page, ask them to end your Check Pro membership, and keep their reply as your record.

Delete your Check account only if you are leaving Check entirely

Cancelling Pro keeps your account for pay-per-ride use. Deleting the account is a separate request: open the app menu, go to Settings, tap Delete account and confirm. Check's support team then processes it, and Check says it may keep some personal data for legal reasons. Its general terms also give the account agreement a 30-day notice period. Cancel Pro first and settle any open invoices, because Check does not say whether deleting the account ends the membership.

Not for Pro. Once you confirm, the membership stops at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep the benefits until that date. You can still see charges from Check afterwards for rides you took (billed monthly in arrears by direct debit), the €1.25 transaction fee on each invoice, or fines passed on with an administration fee. Open Invoices in the app menu if a charge surprises you.

Check does not publish a refund policy for Pro. Its help center says you keep your benefits until the end of the current period, so do not expect money back for the days left in it. If you were charged by mistake, contact support@ridecheck.app or the in-app chat. Do not reverse the direct debit through your bank: Check says this may lead to additional costs, and its terms allow it to pass on bank and administration costs. Dutch and EU consumer law generally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a new online subscription, but Check does not say how it applies that to Pro, so raise it with support in writing if you are inside that window.

Your Check account stays and you keep paying per ride. The Pro perks stop: the €1 unlock fee on mopeds comes back, as does the e-bike unlock fee where one applies (€0.50 in Tilburg, €1.00 in Rotterdam, none in Breda). Car trips lose the 20% off, you can reserve a scooter 10 minutes ahead instead of 20, and Coins you collect from then on stay valid for 7 days instead of 21. Choosing a custom app icon is a Pro feature too.

You don't pay through them. Check Pro is not sold as an Apple or Google in-app purchase: Check charges it to the payment method saved in your Check account, so it will not appear under Subscriptions on an iPhone or in Google Play. Yes. Until your end date, My Check Pro shows a Renew button that keeps the membership going. After it lapses, subscribe again from Get Check Pro in the app menu at the current price of €4.99 a month. Your account, ride history and invoices are still there, because cancelling Pro does not touch your Check account.
