How to Cancel Givingli

A 7-step walkthrough.

Quick answer

Givingli's help centre says to cancel Premium in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Givingli → Cancel Subscription, then Confirm. On a computer, use account.apple.com. If Givingli charges your card directly instead of Apple, cancel in the app under Profile → Settings → Payment & Subscription → Cancel Subscription. Givingli refunds no subscription payment, so cancel before the renewal date.

Givingli was the one you remembered

The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open Subscriptions in iPhone Settings

Open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. This is the route Givingli's own Premium Guide gives, because Premium bought through the App Store is billed by Apple, not by Givingli. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then Subscriptions. From any browser, sign in at account.apple.com and open Subscriptions.

2

Tap Givingli in the list

Tap the Givingli row to open its subscription screen, which shows your plan and the date it renews. If Givingli isn't listed, Apple isn't billing you on this Apple Account. Search your email for "receipt from Apple" to find the right account, or use the optional step below if the charge on your statement comes from Givingli itself.

3

Tap Cancel Subscription, then Confirm

Scroll down if you don't see the button. During the free trial it reads Cancel Free Trial instead. Apple asks you to confirm and shows the date your access runs to, so tap Confirm. Givingli's help centre says Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for, but its in-app cancel sheet warns you'll "lose access to premium features immediately", so send any card you've built on a Premium design first.

4

Check for the red expiration message

Apple's own test for a finished cancellation: the Givingli screen shows an expiration message in red text and no Cancel button. Screenshot the date. No renewal charge follows it, and because Givingli doesn't refund unused time, you have nothing else to do before then.

If Givingli bills your card, cancel in the app

A Givingli charge on your card statement, with no Apple receipt, points to Givingli's own billing. Open the app, tap Profile (bottom right), then the gear icon, then Payment & Subscription. Givingli Premium is listed under Subscriptions with its renewal date. Tap Cancel Subscription, then Confirm Cancellation on the "Are you sure?" sheet (Keep Subscription backs out). Pick any reason on "Why are you leaving?" and tap Submit Feedback, then tap I still want to cancel on the next screen. The row should now read "Cancelled, ends on" followed by a date. If the button isn't there, email help@givingli.com.

If you signed up on Android through Google Play

Givingli has an Android app with in-app purchases on Google Play. If your receipt came from Google Play, open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, select Givingli, tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts. Google says uninstalling the app doesn't cancel the subscription, and you keep what you paid for until the period ends.

Don't rely on removing your card or deleting your account

Removing the card under Payment methods is not a cancellation: in captured app screens the Givingli Premium row still said "Renews" after the card was gone. Deleting the account (Profile → Settings → Edit Info → Delete Account) is permanent and wipes your profile, gift history, saved cards and card creations. Givingli asks you to finish pending gifts and use up any remaining balance first. Cancel the subscription, then decide about the account.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, as long as the cancellation went through with whoever bills you. For Apple billing, the Givingli screen in Subscriptions shows a red expiration message and no Cancel button. For card billing inside the app, the Payment & Subscription row reads "Cancelled, ends on" a date. Givingli's refund article says you keep your benefits until the end of the current billing period and aren't billed again. Cancel before the renewal date: once a renewal posts, Givingli won't refund it.

Givingli's help centre is blunt: "All subscription purchases are final and non-refundable," covering "unused time, accidental purchases, or changes in usage." Its Terms of Use say the same about cancelling an account. If Apple billed you, you can still ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com (I'd like to → Request a refund). Apple makes that call, and its refund page says consumer-law rights in your country still apply. When App Store reviewers complained about an unexpected yearly charge, Givingli replied asking them to email help@givingli.com, so that inbox is worth a message even though no refund is promised.

Cancelling Premium is not deleting your account, so your profile, gift history and any Givingli Cash balance stay put. Givingli Cash can't be withdrawn or moved to a bank account, so it only has value inside Givingli. What ends is Premium itself: the cancel flow lists "Premium Cards & Templates," "No Fees on gifts" and "Cash Back Bonus" as what you lose, so processing fees come back on gifts you send afterwards. Givingli doesn't say what happens to an unsent card built on a Premium design, so send those before you cancel.

Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Givingli → Cancel Subscription, or sign in at account.apple.com on a computer. That is the path in Givingli's own Premium Guide. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions → Givingli → Cancel subscription. Google notes that uninstalling the app does not cancel a Play subscription. If Givingli isn't in either list, the plan is billed by Givingli, and you cancel it in the app under Payment & Subscription.

Yes. Givingli's paywall offers a 3-day free trial that becomes a paid yearly plan on day 3, with a reminder notification promised on day 2 if notifications are on. Apple says to cancel a trial at least 24 hours before it ends, so in practice you have two days, not three. On Apple the button reads Cancel Free Trial. One App Store reviewer wrote that they signed up "thinking I was starting a free trial" and were charged for a full year, and Givingli won't refund a charge once it posts, so set your own reminder the day you start.

Yes. In the app, tap the sparkle icon at the bottom left, then the star icon at the top right, and choose a plan. Those are the sign-up steps in Givingli's Premium Guide. The price may not match what you paid before: the US App Store lists several Premium prices for each billing period at once. Your free account, gift history and Givingli Cash are still there in the meantime unless you deleted the account.
