Open your account menu and pick Manage my subscription

Sign in at deezer.com, click your profile initials in the top right, and choose Manage my subscription. Account Settings works too — the subscription page sits one click inside it.

Check your renewal date, then click Cancel subscription

The My subscription plan page shows your plan and the Next payment due date and amount. Below that, "Want to change your offer?" stacks three purple upgrade buttons. Ignore all three — the exit is underneath, under the separate heading "Want to cancel your subscription?", as a plain outlined Cancel subscription button.

Skip the "Don't leave just yet!" offer

A modal lists five things you lose on Free — ad-free listening, unlimited skips, on-demand play, offline listening, and quizzes plus live streams. Keep my subscription is the big purple button; the one you want is the plain text Continue with cancellation to its left.

Answer the survey — you cannot skip this one

The next screen asks for a cancellation reason from eleven options and, below it, "How likely are you to pay for Deezer again?" on a 1–5 scale. Both carry an asterisk. Until you answer both, Continue with cancellation is greyed out and does nothing.

Pick any reason and any rating to enable the button

Select one reason and click any point on the 1–5 scale. Continue with cancellation turns from grey to active. Nothing here changes your outcome — the answers are feedback only, so pick whatever is true and move on.

Skip the second survey

Deezer asks "Where are you going to listen to your music now?" with a list of rival services, plus a free-text box. This one is genuinely optional — Continue with cancellation is already active with nothing selected, so click straight through.

Confirm and check the end date

A "Confirmation of your cancellation" box appears: "Your automatic subscription renewal has been cancelled. Your subscription ends on {date}." Click Close and the subscription page now shows that end date and a Restart my subscription button instead of the cancel option.

Restarting later, if you change your mind

Until the end date passes you keep every Premium feature, and the same page offers Restart my subscription to undo the cancellation. After the date, the account drops to Deezer Free and you can re-subscribe from the offers page at any time.

If this applies to you

If Apple, Google Play, or your carrier does the billing

Deezer cannot cancel a subscription it does not charge you for, and the Cancel subscription button will not help. Apple: Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Carrier or ISP bundles such as Orange or TIM: cancel in that provider's account portal. PayPal-billed subscribers can also stop the billing agreement under Payments > Manage your Automatic Payments, though cancelling on Deezer is the cleaner route.

Family plan: Profiles are suspended, Independent accounts are not

Cancelling a Family plan ends it for everyone, but not identically. Members set up as Profiles under the admin login have their Profiles suspended outright. Members who joined as Independent accounts revert to Deezer Free and keep their favourites, playlists and recommendations. If anyone in the household wants to keep their library, convert them to an Independent account before you cancel.

Duo plan: only the paying profile can cancel

A Duo subscription has one profile responsible for payment, and that is the account that owns the cancellation. The second person cannot end the plan or the billing from their side. Both accounts drop to Deezer Free at the end of the period, keeping playlists and favourites but losing offline downloads.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not if you cancel in time. Deezer's terms state that cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period provided you submit it at least 48 hours before that period ends. Cancel inside that 48-hour window and the next payment can still go through, pushing your end date out by another month or year. Deezer also lists three reasons people get billed after cancelling: an unfinished cancellation, a second account on a different email, or a third-party biller that has not processed it yet. The confirmation email is what proves the cancellation registered.

Deezer's written policy is no. Article 8.1 of its terms is titled "No right of withdrawal (cooling-off period)" and states that no request for withdrawal, cancellation or refund will be accepted once the subscription is confirmed — adding "to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws." That last clause matters: it is Deezer conceding that mandatory local consumer law wins where it applies. EU and UK subscribers have statutory withdrawal rights on distance contracts, though digital services that begin immediately are commonly carved out of them, so an outcome is not guaranteed. Deezer runs a support webform for refund requests and does grant them case by case, particularly for duplicate charges. On an annual plan there is no proration at all — you keep access until the yearly period ends and get nothing back.

Your library survives. Deezer confirms favourite tracks, playlists and content stay visible after the account reverts to Deezer Free. What you lose is the paid feature set: unlimited skips, on-demand playback and offline listening. Every track you downloaded turns grey and stops playing — the files are tied to an active subscription, not stored as yours. If you re-subscribe later everything returns as you left it. Cancelling is also not the same as deleting your account; deleting is a separate action and does destroy the library.

Through whoever charges you. Deezer's help centre is explicit that if you subscribed via your Apple account you can only cancel directly with Apple, at Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Google Play is also a supported Deezer billing method, so Play-billed subscribers cancel at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Carrier and ISP partnerships such as Orange and TIM must be cancelled with that partner, because Deezer cannot cancel them on your behalf. This is the single most common reason someone reports no cancel button on the Deezer site.

Yes, but the timing works differently from a paid cancellation. Deezer's terms say a trial converts to a paid monthly subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 48 hours before the conversion — so do not leave it to the final day. The trade-off is that cancelling a trial takes effect the same day rather than at the end of the trial, so you lose Premium immediately instead of riding out the remaining free days. The terms also note this is irreversible: you cannot sign up for the same trial offer again.

Yes, and it is easy. Before your end date passes, the subscription page shows a Restart my subscription button that reverses the cancellation outright. Afterwards, pick any plan from Deezer's offers page and your account upgrades again with the library intact. Two things to know: the "1 month free" trial advertised on the plan cards is limited to people without a current or previous Deezer subscription, so a returning customer will not get it again, and if you moved country you must cancel, let the period finish, and re-subscribe with a local payment method to be billed in local currency.
