Quick answer

Sign in at disneyplus.com/account, open Subscription Details, click Cancel Subscription, then skip both save offers and confirm with CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION. You keep access until the end of the current billing period — Disney+ does not refund partial months outside a short signup grace window.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Sign in to your Disney+ account

Open disneyplus.com/account in a web or mobile browser and sign in. Cancellation is browser-only — the Disney+ app on Smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, and game consoles does not show a cancel option, even if you originally subscribed there.

2

Open Subscription Details and click Cancel Subscription

On the Account page, click your active Disney+ plan to open Subscription Details. You'll see your plan, payment card, upcoming charge date, and last payment. Scroll to the bottom and click Cancel Subscription — not the lighter Pause Subscription button above it.

3

Skip the "Don't go!" discount save offer

Disney+ pitches a discounted rate for a few months before snapping back to the full price. Click CONTINUE TO CANCEL at the bottom right — not KEEP SUBSCRIPTION.

4

Skip the "Recommended for you" content showcase

Disney+ takes one more swing with a wall of show and movie thumbnails. Click CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION at the bottom right to confirm.

5

Verify your cancellation date

You'll see a confirmation reading "Ok, your subscription has been cancelled" with the exact date your access ends. Disney+ also emails confirmation. You can keep watching until that date — outside the short signup grace window, Disney+ does not give prorated refunds.

6

Skip or fill the cancellation reason survey (optional)

Below the confirmation, Disney+ asks "Please tell us why you canceled" with ten radio options ranging from "Too much buffering" to "Wanted to temporarily pause my account". The survey is explicitly marked optional — your cancellation is already final. Pick a reason and click SUBMIT, or just close the tab.

Confirm your feedback was sent

After clicking SUBMIT, a "Thanks for your feedback!" banner appears under the Restart Subscription card. That confirms the survey went through — the cancellation itself was already in place before you submitted, so the access end date does not change.

If you signed up through Apple, Google, Roku, or Amazon

The Cancel Subscription button will not appear on disneyplus.com if a third party handles your billing. Cancel through Apple (Settings > your name > Subscriptions), Google Play (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions), Roku (Settings > Subscriptions on the device, or my.roku.com/account), or Amazon (Memberships & Subscriptions) instead.

Disney Bundle: cancel ends Hulu and ESPN+ too

If you subscribe to the Disney Bundle (Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ in the US, or regional equivalents), canceling Disney+ ends the entire bundle on the same date. To keep one of the other services, resubscribe to it individually after the bundle ends — there is no way to drop just Disney+ from a bundle while keeping Hulu or ESPN+.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once you cancel, Disney+ won't bill you again. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period — there are no prorated refunds outside the short signup grace window. The exact end date appears on the confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

Disney+ generally only refunds within roughly 7 days of the original purchase, and only if you have not used the service. Outside that window, the policy is that you keep access until the period ends — no cash back. EU and UK users have a 14-day right of withdrawal on new subscriptions under consumer law, which can override Disney's policy on a fresh signup.

Disney+ preserves your profiles, watchlist, Continue Watching, and ratings after cancellation. If you resubscribe — even months later — everything returns intact. Any titles you downloaded for offline viewing stop working on the cancellation date because downloads require an active subscription.

You must cancel through whichever platform charges you — Disney+'s website will not show a Cancel Subscription option in this case. iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Roku: my.roku.com/account or Settings > Subscriptions on the device. Amazon: Memberships & Subscriptions. After canceling there, your Disney+ access continues until the current paid period ends.

Canceling Disney+ ends the whole bundle — Hulu and ESPN+ stop on the same date, even though they are separate services. There is no option to keep one and drop the others while inside a bundle. If you want to keep Hulu or ESPN+, resubscribe to that service directly after the bundle ends. Costs go up because you lose the bundle discount.

Yes. The cancellation confirmation page already shows a Restart Subscription button you can click any time before the access end date to undo the cancellation. After your access ends, sign back in at disneyplus.com and pick a plan — your profiles, watchlist, and Continue Watching are still there. Disney+ occasionally emails returning-customer offers, so it can be worth waiting a couple of weeks before resubscribing.
