Quick answer

In your Dub workspace, go to Settings → Billing, open the actions menu (the ••• button), and click Cancel Subscription. Your workspace stays on the paid plan until the end of the current billing cycle, then drops to Free — Dub does not prorate or refund the remainder of the period.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open your workspace Billing settings

Sign in at app.dub.co and select the workspace you want to cancel. Click the Settings tab, then choose Billing in the left sidebar. The page shows your current plan, billing cycle dates, and usage meters for events tracked and links created.

2

Open the subscription actions menu

In the top-right of the Billing panel, next to the Upgrade and View invoices buttons, click the three-dot (•••) menu. A dropdown appears with Manage Subscription and Cancel Subscription.

3

Click Cancel Subscription

Select Cancel Subscription from the menu. Dub schedules the cancellation for the end of your current billing cycle rather than ending access immediately.

4

Confirm the cancellation

A confirmation message appears stating that your subscription is already set to be canceled at period end. That confirms the cancellation went through — you keep paid features until the cycle date shown on the Billing page, then the workspace reverts to the Free plan.

Cancel through the Stripe billing portal (alternative)

Dub processes payments with Stripe. From the Billing page you can also click Open billing portal to reach your Stripe customer dashboard, where you can cancel the plan, update your payment method, or download invoices. Either route produces the same end-of-period cancellation.

Canceling during your 14-day free trial

If you are still inside Dub's 14-day free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. The steps are identical — Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Once the trial ends without cancellation, your card is automatically charged for the first month.

Tidy up after canceling (optional)

On the Free plan your links keep redirecting, but paid features (extra domains, higher link/event limits, longer analytics retention, partner payouts) stop at the period end. Export anything you need from Analytics first, and remove any saved payment method in the Stripe billing portal if you do not plan to return.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once you cancel, Dub does not bill you for the next cycle. The cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, so you keep your paid features until that date and your card is not charged again.

Dub cancels at the end of the billing period rather than refunding the unused portion — its pricing FAQ confirms you can cancel any time but does not advertise prorated refunds. The practical "refund" is that you retain full paid access until the cycle ends. If you believe you were charged in error, contact Dub support.

Your existing short links keep working and redirecting on the Free plan. What changes are the limits: you drop to the Free tier's 25 new links/month, 1,000 tracked events/month, 3 custom domains, and 30-day analytics retention. Export any analytics you want to keep before the downgrade takes effect.

Go to Settings → Billing in your workspace and click Cancel Subscription before the 14-day trial ends. Dub sends a reminder email three days before the trial expires. If the trial lapses without canceling, your card is automatically charged for the first month of the paid plan.

Yes. Instead of Cancel Subscription, choose Manage Subscription (Manage plan) on the Billing page to switch to a lower plan, or use Adjust usage to pick a cheaper link/event tier within your current plan. This keeps a paid plan active while lowering your bill.

Dub Links has a free forever plan ($0), then Pro at $30/month ($25/month billed annually) and Business at $90/month ($75/month billed annually); annual billing saves about 17%. Higher Advanced and custom Enterprise tiers exist for larger teams. Always confirm the current figure on dub.co/pricing — prices change.
