A 12-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Sign in at perplexity.ai/settings, click Manage next to Your Subscription, then Cancel subscription. Pick a reason, skip Keep Pro, and confirm Cancel subscription. You keep Pro or Max until the end of the current billing period. Deleting your account does not stop billing — and a web plan, an App Store plan, and a Google Play plan are three separate subscriptions.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No account, no bank login.

See Perplexity's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Perplexity ranks #97 of 243 by cancellation difficulty.
Go to perplexity.ai/settings and sign in. On the Account tab, scroll to Your Subscription. You'll see "Thanks for subscribing to Perplexity Pro" (or Max), plus Manage and Upgrade plan.
Click Manage. A Perplexity Pro (or Max) dialog opens with your cadence (Monthly plan or annual), the next billing date, the card on file, and Invoice History. Help articles still say "Manage Subscription" or "Manage Plan" — same button.
Open the Manage menu on that dialog. Two items appear: Upgrade plan and Cancel subscription. Click Cancel subscription.
Perplexity asks "Why do you want to cancel your plan?" Options include not enough value, not using it, subscribed by accident, wanted to try it temporarily, and Other. Select one, then click Continue.
Next comes "If you cancel, you'll lose access to" Perplexity Computer, deeper answers, specific AI models, and higher usage limits. The filled button is Keep Pro. Click the outline Continue to cancel instead.
A "Choose an option" dialog offers a single choice: Cancel subscription at the end of my billing period, with the exact end date. Click the filled Cancel subscription — not Go back, which aborts.
You land back on the home screen with a toast: "Cancellation scheduled. Your subscription will be cancelled at the end of your current billing period." That toast is the first proof it registered.
Open Manage again. The line under your plan should read "Your plan will be canceled on [date]" and Manage is replaced by Resubscribe. Note that date — billing stops then, and Pro or Max features drop the same day.
A web Manage button cannot cancel a store-billed plan. iPhone or iPad: App Store → your profile → Subscriptions → Perplexity - Ask Anything → Cancel subscription. Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Perplexity - Ask Anything → Cancel subscription. Samsung Galaxy Store: Menu → My page → Subscriptions → Cancel. Refunds for Apple charges go through reportaproblem.apple.com; Play and Galaxy refunds are requested through Perplexity support or the store's own refund control.
Web, App Store, and Google Play subscriptions are separate. Perplexity's billing FAQ warns that updating a web payment method through the App Store or Play Store creates a new subscription and charges you again. Change cards only at perplexity.ai/settings → Manage. If you already have two charges, cancel both places and contact support from Help → Contact Support.
Deleting your Perplexity account does not terminate the subscription. Help is explicit: cancel first, then delete. If you delete first, the renewals can keep hitting the card with no in-product Manage button left to click.
The plan and Computer credits are billed separately. Auto-refill is off by default; if you turned it on, switch it off at perplexity.ai/account/usage so a credit top-up does not land after you cancel. Unused monthly credits do not roll over and end when the plan ends. Purchased credits are non-refundable; Perplexity's own credits article disagrees with itself on whether they stay for a year after cancel or are forfeited — check Usage on the end date rather than assuming either.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
