Quick answer

Sign in at honeybook.com/app/settings/company/subscription, click Cancel Plan, skip the Pause and Getting Started screens, then confirm with the red Cancel Membership button. You keep access to existing projects through the end of your billing period — HoneyBook does not auto-refund renewals outside its 60-day money-back window from your membership start date.

HoneyBook was the one you remembered

The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open your Membership settings

Sign in on the web and go to Company Settings → Membership (or open honeybook.com/app/settings/company/subscription directly). You'll see Billing, Invoice History, and a Cancellation section with Cancel Plan. Only the company owner can open this tab.

2

Click Cancel Plan

In the Cancellation section, click Cancel Plan. HoneyBook notes you'll still have account access but won't be able to create new files or projects after the cancel flow finishes.

3

Pick a cancellation reason

HoneyBook shows "Your opinion means a lot" with radio reasons (subscription cost, missing features, moving platforms, Other, and more). Next stays greyed out until you select one — pick the closest match, then click Next. Keep My Plan aborts the cancel.

4

Skip the "Just hit pause" offer

Next up is a Pause screen: "We'll be here when you're ready to come back. Your plan will pause at the end of this billing cycle," with a Pause for dropdown (default 1 month). Click Continue to Cancel — not Pause Plan — to keep canceling.

5

Skip the Getting Started retention pitch

HoneyBook then shows "We hope this helps..." with a link to the Getting Started guide. Scroll past it and click Continue Canceling. Keep My Plan sends you back to a paid membership.

Answer the feedback question

On "Your feedback means the world to us," type a short note under What wasn't working for you? Next stays disabled until the box has text — even one sentence is enough — then click Next.

7

Click Cancel Membership

The final page reads "We're sad to see you go..." and lists what happens: no more membership fees, access to existing projects and files stays, and you cannot create new projects effective now. Click the red Cancel Membership button.

8

Confirm the email modal and verify Membership canceled

A modal says "We'll miss you! Keep an eye out for a confirmation email with the details regarding your cancellation." Click OK. Back on Membership you should see Membership canceled in red and a banner with the date your current subscription remains valid through.

Double-check the canceled Membership page

Your Membership card should show Membership canceled and the valid-through date. Change Plan is still available if you want to restart later. Download any invoices you need from Invoice History before you forget.

If this applies to you

If you signed up through Apple or Google Play

Cancel Plan will not appear (or will not control billing) if you subscribed in the iOS or Android app. Cancel in Apple Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. App-store promo pricing does not transfer if you later subscribe on the HoneyBook website.

Only the company owner can cancel

Team members do not see the Membership tab — the UI labels it "Only visible to company owner." If you are on someone else's HoneyBook company, ask the owner to cancel (or remove you from the team). You cannot cancel their subscription from a member login.

Pause instead of cancel (if you might return)

During the cancel flow, Pause Plan lets you stop charges for a set number of months and come back without rebuilding your account. Pausing auto-resumes billing when the pause ends — set a calendar reminder if you choose it.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once cancellation completes, HoneyBook stops charging the membership fee at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep access to existing projects and files through that valid-through date shown on the Membership page. There is no prorated credit for unused days on a normal renewal.

HoneyBook offers a 60-day money-back guarantee from your membership start date. Refunds are not automatic when you cancel — chat Support via the question-mark icon and ask to "Talk to a person." Outside that 60-day window, HoneyBook says it cannot process refunds for membership charges or renewals; you keep access until the period you already paid for ends. EU/UK 14-day withdrawal rights may also apply to new distance contracts depending on where you live.

You keep access to existing projects and information after canceling, but you cannot create new files or projects or send messages. Canceling does not delete your account — permanent deletion requires Support at concierge@honeybook.com. Archive projects you no longer want sending automated reminders. Export anything you need in another tool before your paid period ends if you are migrating.

Cancel through the store that bills you, not HoneyBook's Membership page. On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. On Google: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. HoneyBook Support cannot change or cancel app-store subscriptions for you.

Usually no. HoneyBook's free trial does not automatically convert to a paid membership and does not require a card. If you never purchased a plan, you will not be charged when the trial ends. If you already started a paid membership, use the Cancel Plan flow before the next renewal.

Yes. Sign back in, open Membership, and use Change Plan (or choose a plan) to restart. Your existing projects and files remain on the account after cancel — you are not starting from a wiped workspace. Pricing is Starter, Essentials, or Premium on monthly or annual billing; check honeybook.com/pricing for current rates.
