A 10-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Sign in at whereby.com/user/subscriptions, click Cancel subscription, confirm on We're sorry to see you go, then click Yes, cancel my account. You keep paid Whereby Meetings features until the end of the current billing period — Whereby does not refund unused days for a standard change-of-mind cancel.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.
Wondering if you're paying more than you used to? side-by-side subscription pricing.
See Whereby's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Whereby ranks #112 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Open whereby.com/user/subscriptions and sign in. If you belong to more than one organization, use the account picker in the top-left and switch to the workspace that owns the subscription — only that account's Subscription page can stop the charge.
In the left sidebar, select Subscription. Under Subscription details you'll see your plan, host/license count, upcoming charge, and next charge date. Click the Cancel subscription button at the bottom of that card.
Whereby opens a modal titled We're sorry to see you go. It states you can keep using Whereby Meetings until the end of the current billing term, then lists what happens after that date: rooms become unavailable immediately, files in media storage are deleted after 14 days, and account and configuration data are deleted after 60 days. Click Cancel subscription — not Back — to continue.
A second modal asks Are you sure you want to cancel your account? On a trial it may warn that you and your users lose access to the account, subdomain, and rooms once the trial ends. Click Yes, cancel my account. No, keep my account closes the flow without canceling.
Whereby may briefly show a Processing screen that says Please do not close this screen. Leave the tab open until the success modal appears — closing early can leave you unsure whether the cancel stuck.
You should see Your subscription has been cancelled, with the date you keep paid features through, and a note that it may take a few minutes for the subscription summary to update. Click Continue.
Back on Subscription, Current plan should show a Cancelled badge next to the plan name, plus a banner inviting you to Restart your subscription before access ends. That badge is your proof renewals are off — if it never appears, open Help in the app or email support@whereby.com.
On Business, the organization bill covers every host license. Team members without Subscription access cannot stop renewals — the account owner (or whoever manages billing) has to run this flow. Canceling ends paid features for the whole org at period end, not just your seat.
After the billing term (or trial) ends, Whereby's cancel modal says all rooms become unavailable immediately and media-storage files are deleted after 14 days. Export recordings and anything you need from rooms before that date — canceling does not wipe them on the day you confirm, but waiting until after the end date can.
You may be on the wrong workspace, or on Whereby Embedded (a separate API product with its own contract). Switch accounts in the top-left picker, confirm you're on Meetings billing at whereby.com/user/subscriptions, then contact support@whereby.com if Cancel subscription still does not appear.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
