Quick answer

Sign in at replit.com/settings, open Billing, click Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription. Confirm with Continue to Cancel, then Confirm Cancel. You keep Core/Pro until the end of the billing period, then drop to free Starter — Replit does not pause plans or auto-refund the unused days.

Replit was the one you remembered

The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Export anything you need to keep

Canceling stops renewals but still moves you to Starter at period end — published apps may go offline, custom domains drop, and storage shrinks. From Settings → Account, use Start Export (or download project files from each App) before that date. Spend or note remaining Agent credits too: the cancel modal lists unused credits among what you lose.

2

Open Settings → Billing

Go to replit.com/settings (or click your profile icon → Settings). In the account sidebar, select Billing. You'll see Your personal account plan with the current plan name, next payment date, and two buttons: View plans and Manage subscription.

3

Click Manage subscription

On the manage page you get Change Plan, Update Payment Information, Cancel Subscription, and — separated below — Delete Account. Under Cancel Subscription, click Cancel subscription. The subtitle says you'll downgrade to the Starter plan.

4

Click Continue to Cancel past the lose-list modal

Replit opens "Are you sure you want to cancel? Here are all the things you'll lose:" listing Agent capabilities, Plan mode, other app types, unused credits, and publishing apps for more than 30 days. Click the red Continue to Cancel — not Keep My Subscription.

5

Click Confirm Cancel on the published-apps warning

A second modal repeats "Are you sure you want to cancel?" with a yellow warning that all published apps will be taken down and users will lose access. Click the red Confirm Cancel to schedule the cancellation.

Verify the automatic-cancel banner

Back on Billing (or Account), a yellow banner should read that your plan will be automatically canceled on your next payment date. You keep paid features until then; after that date the account moves to free Starter and renewals stop.

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play

Apple or Google may handle billing, so the in-app cancel path can differ. Cancel the Replit subscription in Apple Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. You can still open Settings → Billing on the web to review invoices and add a web payment method later.

Downgrade Pro → Core instead of canceling

If the bill is the problem but you still want a paid plan, Replit lets you schedule a self-serve downgrade from Pro to Core in Settings → Billing. The change waits until renewal — you keep Pro until then, and projects are not deleted. Downgrade is not the same as canceling to Starter.

Canceling does not erase Agent usage already incurred

Subscription cancel stops the next Core/Pro renewal. Agent and AI usage above your included credits bills when it hits a usage threshold — that can still post after you cancel if the usage happened earlier. Set a usage alert and budget under Manage your monthly spending before you leave, and open Settings → Account usage → See previous invoices if a charge looks wrong.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once cancel is scheduled, Replit should not renew the Core or Pro subscription after the date on the yellow banner. You keep paid features until that date, then drop to free Starter. A charge after cancel is usually usage that hit a billing threshold late, or a retry of a failed earlier payment — check Settings → Account usage → See previous invoices, then contact Replit Support with the pi_ payment intent ID if it still looks wrong.

Agent and AI usage charges are non-refundable because the compute already ran. Custom domain registration fees are also non-refundable. For the subscription fee itself, Replit asks you to cancel first from Settings → Billing, then contact Support from your registered email; eligibility is confirmed case by case for your plan and account. EU and UK customers may also have a 14-day withdrawal right on a new subscription under consumer law. There is no automatic prorated refund for unused days in the period.

Canceling does not delete your account. Projects and data stay within Starter limits after the period ends. Published apps may go offline, custom domain connections are removed, and storage is reduced — download anything critical before the cancel date. The cancel modal also lists unused credits among what you lose. Account deletion is a separate, irreversible action on the same manage page and should not be used just to stop billing.

Cancel through the store that bills you: iPhone — Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Google Play — play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Replit's help center also notes that App Store / Play subscribers manage some payment options on the web at Settings → Billing. After canceling in the store, access continues through the current paid period unless the store says otherwise.

Replit's free Starter plan is always available — there isn't a classic time-boxed trial for everyone. Paid Core and Pro bill on their renewal cycle once you subscribe. To avoid the next charge, cancel from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription before the next payment date shown on Billing; you keep paid features until that date, then return to Starter. Replit does not offer a pause option.

Yes. Sign back in and upgrade from Settings → Billing (or the pricing page) any time. Replit's docs say projects and data remain available within Starter limits after you cancel, so you can pick up again without recreating everything — subject to Starter caps on publishing, Agent modes, and storage.
