Sign in on the web Account page

Open secure.hulu.com/account in a computer or mobile browser and sign in. Hulu's help center routes cancel through this Account page — not the streaming app menus. Before you start, check Payment Information so you know whether Hulu, Disney, Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or a carrier bills you.

Click Cancel under Your Subscription

On Manage Your Account (Overview tab), find the Your Subscription card with your plan name. Below it, open Cancel Your Subscription and click the blue Cancel link.

Skip the pause offer

Hulu may ask you to pause instead of canceling. Pause can last up to 12 weeks, then the subscription resumes and bills automatically — it is not the same as canceling. Click Continue to Cancel if you want billing to stop after this cycle.

Confirm Cancel Subscription

Hulu shows Are you sure you want to cancel? with notes about when access ends (end of free trial or billing cycle) and any Disney Bundle / add-on caveats. Click the dark Cancel Subscription button. Keep Subscription abandons the cancel.

You should land on a We'll miss ya screen that says we've canceled your subscription and you can keep watching until the end of the billing cycle. Go to Account returns you to the overview; Please take a survey is optional feedback and does not undo the cancel.

Check the will-be-canceled banner and email

Back on Account, a banner should say Your subscription will be canceled with the end date, plus Keep My Subscription if you change your mind. Hulu also emails a confirmation — keep it. If Overview still shows Your Next Charge, the cancel did not stick; try again or contact Hulu (or your third-party biller).

If this applies to you

If Disney bills your bundle

If Payment Information shows Disney (or you signed up for the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN bundle on Disney+), cancel on your Disney+ account page — not with Hulu's Cancel link. If you bundled through Hulu but already had a separate Disney+ or ESPN sub, that older bill can keep charging until you cancel it separately.

If Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or a carrier bills you

Hulu's Cancel control will not stop those bills. Cancel with the biller named under Payment Information: Apple Settings → Subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions, Amazon Memberships & Subscriptions, Roku's subscription management, or your carrier / cable portal (Xfinity, Verizon, T-Mobile, Optimum, and others). Access usually continues through the paid period set by that biller.

Remove add-ons or pause without a full cancel

Canceling Hulu ends the plan and its add-ons together. If you only want to drop HBO Max, STARZ, or another add-on, use Manage subscription / manage add-ons on the Account page instead of Cancel. Pause (up to 12 weeks) is available for many Hulu-billed monthly plans but not annual, most third-party bills, gift cards, or promo plans — and it auto-resumes.

No further renewals should post once cancel is confirmed with the correct biller. You keep Hulu (or your Hulu-billed bundle) until the end of the current billing cycle, except Hulu + Live TV free trials, which end immediately when you cancel. Confirm the end date on the Account banner and in the confirmation email. If Next Charge still appears, the cancel did not complete.

Hulu states there are no cancelation fees, and the standard outcome is access through the paid period rather than a prorated cash refund. Partial-month refunds are not the default. EU and UK consumers may have a 14-day withdrawal right on new subscriptions under local law. Third-party billers (Apple, Google, Amazon, carriers) follow their own refund rules. If a cancel-flow promo billed at full price, contact Hulu support with the confirmation email and billing history — Reddit reports of bait-and-switch promos are common enough that keeping records helps.

Canceling stops the subscription; it does not delete your Hulu account or a linked Disney account. Profiles and account history generally remain so you can sign up again with the same login. Offline downloads stop working when access ends. Cancel is not the same as Delete account — only use account deletion if you also want the account itself removed.
