A 10-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Organizers: open Settings → Organizer Subscription, click Cancel subscription, then Continue to cancel, and choose the plain Cancel subscription link under the discount offer. Meetup+ members cancel separately at Settings → Meetup+ Subscription. Either plan runs until the end of the period you paid for, and closing your groups does not stop the charges.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No account, no bank login.

See Meetup's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Meetup ranks #13 of 261 by cancellation difficulty.
Meetup sells two separate subscriptions, each with its own page under Settings: Meetup+ Subscription for members, and Organizer Subscription for the Starter, Standard and Pro organizer plans. Canceling one leaves the other running. If you ever subscribed in the iPhone or Android app, check the App Store or Google Play as well, because Meetup says one person can hold separate web and app subscriptions.
In a web browser, sign in, click your profile icon in the top-right corner, choose Settings, then click Organizer Subscription in the left menu. The page shows your plan, what you pay and your next payment date, with a row of links underneath. Starter, Standard and Pro all cancel from here: click Cancel subscription.
Meetup opens a page headed "You're canceling your Pro subscription" (with your own plan's name), showing the date your current subscription expires and the features you lose. The losses start on that date, not when you click. Click Continue to cancel rather than Keep my current subscription. Meetup's help center calls this button Cancel my subscription.
A pop-up offers to keep your plan cheaper for a month. On the Pro plan shown here it read "Stay Pro at our best price for 1 month – 50% off!". The large dark button is Accept offer. The way out is the plain-text Cancel subscription link underneath it, so click that.
The cancellation is done at this point: a "Your subscription has been canceled successfully." notice appears. Meetup then asks "What would you like to do with your group?" Pick Invite someone from my Members to take over (you tick members from your group's list and Meetup asks them), Leave groups up for grabs, or Close groups, then click Continue.
Back on the Organizer subscription page, a "Sorry to see you go – want to share why?" pop-up lists six reasons, from "I'm missing some features" to "Other (specify)". It's optional. Send feedback stays grey until you pick a reason, and you can close the pop-up with the X instead.
The Organizer subscription page now shows your plan with "(cancelling)" after it and "Your subscription will end on" a date. That is when organizer access stops, and no renewal is charged after it. Turn it back on reverses the cancellation before then. The pink "Stay Pro at our best Price yet" banner with Redeem offer is the same discount as before, which puts you back on a renewing plan.
Meetup+ is billed separately from any organizer plan. On the web, click your profile icon, then Settings, Meetup+ Subscription and Cancel subscription. In the Meetup app, open your profile, tap the Settings gear, then Meetup+ subscription and Manage your subscription, and choose to cancel. Meetup+ features stay on until the end of the current billing period. On a free trial, cancel before it ends: Meetup says the paid plan "begins and is billed automatically at the end of the trial."
Meetup says subscriptions started in the iPhone or Android app are managed through the App Store or Google Play. Its help center also lists an in-app route: profile icon > Account Settings > Organizer subscription or Meetup+ Subscription > Cancel subscription > Proceed to cancel. Afterwards, confirm the plan is gone from the store's own list: on iPhone, Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Stepping down, transferring a group or closing every group you run does not cancel the organizer subscription, and Meetup keeps billing until you cancel it on the Organizer Subscription page. On Pro, deleting your last group brings up a "Minimum billing applies" warning: the plan stays active with the minimum billing for one group until it is canceled.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
