A 10-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Sign in at midjourney.com/account, click Cancel Plan, then confirm with the red Confirm Cancellation button. You keep access — including remaining Fast time — until the end of the current billing period. Midjourney does not refund unused months except in a narrow case (under 20 GPU minutes used for the lifetime of your account).
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.
Wondering if you're paying more than you used to? which subscriptions raised prices this year.
See Midjourney's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Midjourney ranks #75 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Canceling stops the next renewal, but you keep every paid feature — including leftover Fast GPU time — until your current period ends. Burn through Remaining Fast Hours on the Manage Subscription page first. After the end date, you can still view images on midjourney.com, but you can't generate on a paid plan until you resubscribe.
Open midjourney.com/account in a browser and sign in. Billing lives on the website — not in Discord. If you're sent to a Discord invite or the old /subscribe habit, you're in the wrong place.
On Manage Subscription you'll see Your [plan] with an ACTIVE badge, Usage Details, Billing & Payment, and two buttons at the top right of the plan card: Cancel Plan and Change Plan. Click Cancel Plan. Don't click Change Plan — that switches tiers and keeps billing you.
A modal titled "We're sorry to see you go!" explains your plan will be set to cancel at the end of the current subscription period, and notes you can uncancel any time before that date. Click the red Confirm Cancellation button to proceed.
The same modal switches to a Processing… state with "Update confirming…" while Midjourney talks to billing. Leave it open until it finishes — usually seconds. If it hangs longer than a minute, the modal itself says to email billing@midjourney.com.
When it works, the modal shows Success! — Your change has been confirmed with a green Update confirmed check. Click Close.
Back on Manage Subscription, Billing & Payment should now say Cancelling on [date] instead of a renewal date, and Cancel Plan is replaced by Uncancel Plan. That date is when paid access ends and the next charge is skipped. If you change your mind before then, click Uncancel Plan.
Midjourney only refunds if your account has used less than 20 GPU minutes for its entire lifetime — Fast, Turbo, and Relax all count. When you qualify, a refund option appears automatically during cancel. If you don't see it, you're not eligible under their policy. Processing can take up to 10 business days; you should get a confirmation email within minutes of a successful request.
You still cancel on midjourney.com/account. Discord no longer hosts the subscribe/cancel controls for Midjourney plans, and Discord Nitro is a completely separate bill. Sign in with the same account you linked to Midjourney, then follow Cancel Plan as above.
Yearly billing is selected by default at checkout (20% off, paid upfront — Basic $96/yr through Mega $1,152/yr). Canceling stops the next yearly renewal; it does not refund unused months unless you hit the under-20-GPU-minute refund rule. Change Plan / downgrade also does not refund the current period — it only changes what you pay at the next renewal.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
