A 11-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
In the Plum app, open Profile (top left), tap Manage Plum for your paid plan, scroll to Cancel, then skip the discount offer with No thanks, I want to cancel. Paid features stay until the last day of your billing period — Plum does not generally refund partial months. Official steps: help.withplum.com — Change / Cancel Subscription.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.

See Plum's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Plum ranks #110 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Open Plum and tap your Profile (upper left). You should see your name, a plan badge (Plus, Boost, Max, or a legacy name like Premium), and a Manage Plum row for that plan. Canceling the subscription is app-only — there is no web cancel page.
Tap Manage Plum (the label includes your tier — Manage Plum Plus, Boost, Max, or a legacy name). The plan page shows your next billing date and a list of paid features under a "Make the most of…" heading.
Scroll past the feature list to the Manage section. You will see Billing, Change plans, and Cancel (red stop icon). Tap Cancel. Plum's help centre also describes a confirm step labelled Yes, cancel Plum (subscription) if that sheet appears on your build.
Plum may show a Special offer screen pitching a deep discount for several months (for example 50% off). Tap No thanks, I want to cancel — not the purple Claim offer button — to keep going.
A Feedback sheet asks What could we do to improve? with a free-text box. Tap Skip in the top right, or type a note and Submit feedback — neither is required to finish canceling.
A confirmation sheet says We're sad to see you go and states which plan you cancelled and the date it ends. After that date you drop to Basic (free) functionality — you keep the account; you do not lose your pockets or existing investments automatically.
Back on Profile, a green banner should read You've successfully cancelled your plan. The paid plan badge is gone and you may see Give me an upgrade instead. Paid features stay until the end date shown earlier — then you remain on Basic unless you subscribe again.
Canceling the paid plan does not automatically shut every savings rule. Open Automations from the home screen and toggle off any rules you no longer want, or you can still see Direct Debit pulls into pockets after you leave Plus/Boost/Max.
Canceling the subscription only drops you to Basic. Closing the account is a separate, irreversible checklist: stop Automations, cancel the subscription, wait for pending transfers, withdraw pockets and investments, ask support to close any ISA, then Profile → Close Account → Please close my account.
Partner perks tied to Max (Finimize Pro, Tastecard, NordVPN, and similar) end when your Max billing cycle ends. Plum's Finimize help states the Finimize subscription cancels at the end of that cycle — you do not need a separate Finimize cancel for the bundled voucher access.
Those are legacy (or EU) names. Help says pre–7 July 2025 paid users can cancel their current plan to see the new Plus/Boost/Max ladder, or wait for Plum's migration. The cancel buttons still live under Manage Plum on Profile.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
