A 12-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Where you cancel depends entirely on where you subscribed. If you paid on the Quizlet website, go to quizlet.com/settings, open Manage subscription and select Cancel auto-renewal. If you subscribed inside the iPhone or Android app, that same screen only shows Cancel on App Store — Quizlet cannot cancel it, and you have to finish the job in Apple or Google's settings. Either way, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. You keep Plus until the term ends; Quizlet does not refund the unused part.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.

Quizlet sells the same subscription through three checkouts — its own website, Apple's App Store, and Google Play — and only the one that took your money can stop it. The quickest way to tell without guessing: sign in at quizlet.com/settings, scroll to the Payment section and select View next to Payment history. Quizlet lists receipts from the last 24 months there. If your charges are in that list, Quizlet bills you. If it is empty, Apple or Google does, and the rest of this guide sends you to them.
On the phone, tap your profile picture and choose Your Settings. The very first block on that screen is headed Manage subscription and shows the plan you are on — Quizlet Plus or Quizlet Plus Unlimited — as a tappable row. On the web the same thing lives at quizlet.com/settings, under your profile picture.
Tap the plan row. This screen is the fork in the road: if Quizlet bills you it shows Cancel auto-renewal and you can finish here. If Apple bills you it shows Cancel on App Store instead — a link out, not a cancel button. The card also prints your plan, its term, and the date the next charge lands.
Select Cancel auto-renewal, then answer the short set of cancellation questions. On the phone the flow ends with a Yes, finish canceling confirmation — you are not done until you tap it. If Manage subscription never appears at all, Quizlet's help centre reads that as a sign your subscription is not set to renew, or that you bought it somewhere else.
Open the iPhone or iPad Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Quizlet, then Cancel Subscription. Apple emails you a confirmation once it goes through. Tapping Cancel on App Store inside Quizlet lands you in the same place — it is a shortcut to Apple, not a cancellation.
Go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, or open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Pick Quizlet and select Cancel subscription. Google sends the confirmation email. As with Apple, Quizlet cannot cancel a Play-billed subscription on your behalf.
Quizlet repeats this deadline in every cancellation article, and its Terms of Service put it as cancelling "at least 1 day prior to the expiration of the Subscription term." Cancel inside that 24-hour window and the next charge still goes through. The renewal date is printed on the Manage subscription card, so you never have to guess it.
Go back to quizlet.com/settings. Quizlet shows a renewal date while auto-renew is on and an expiration date once it is off — that swap is your confirmation the cancellation registered. On the Apple side the equivalent check is the Subscriptions list showing Expires rather than Renews. Keep the confirmation email, and glance at your statement on the old renewal date.
The free trial attaches to the annual plans, and it converts to a full year in a single charge — $35.99 for Quizlet Plus or $44.99 for Quizlet Plus Unlimited — not to a month you could shrug off. Monthly plans are not eligible for the trial at all. The 24-hour rule applies to the trial conversion exactly as it does to a renewal, so set a reminder for day five rather than day seven.
An empty list almost always means one of two things: Apple is not the one billing you, so the subscription lives on quizlet.com instead, or you are signed in under a different Apple Account from the one that bought it. Check both before assuming the charge is fraudulent. Apple's own rule of thumb is that a missing Cancel Subscription button means it is already cancelled — an Expires date instead of Renews confirms it.
Quizlet's Terms of Service state that subscriptions bought directly from Quizlet are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. There is still a request form worth using: Contact us at quizlet.com/support, pick your role, choose Billing, then Request a refund. Quizlet says it "may issue your refund depending on the details of your purchase," and approved refunds take 5 to 10 business days to land. If Apple or Google took the payment, they own the refund decision, not Quizlet — use Apple's Report a Problem or Google Play's refund form.
Family Plans are annual, carry no free trial, and auto-renew like any other plan, so they need cancelling the same way. Quizlet Plus for teachers is annual and also auto-renews. Group and school orders are the exception: each seat is a one-year subscription that does not renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel — it simply lapses on its own anniversary.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
