Quick answer

Open Subscriptions in iPhone Settings

If you subscribed in the iPhone app, Apple bills you, and Stardust's own Manage Subscription screen says: To modify your subscription preferences, go to "Subscriptions" in the App Store. Open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then tap Stardust. On a computer, sign in at account.apple.com and open Subscriptions. If Stardust isn't listed, Apple isn't billing you on this Apple Account, so use the optional steps below.

Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm

Scroll down if you don't see the button. During a free trial it reads Cancel Free Trial instead. Apple asks you to confirm and shows the date your plan runs to. Do this before the renewal date: Stardust's terms say that if you don't cancel, you are charged for the next month or year automatically.

Check the expiration date

Apple's own test for a finished cancellation is an expiration message in red text and no Cancel button on the Stardust screen. In the Stardust app, the Manage Subscription screen swaps Next billing date for Expiration date, and its red button turns into Resubscribe to Stardust Super. Screenshot the date. Stardust Super runs until then, and after it the app drops back to the free version.

Tap the alien icon at the bottom right, then the settings gear at the top right. Scroll to the Subscription section and tap Manage subscription. The Purchased on row shows where you bought the plan, next to the billing cycle and next billing date, and the screen also has a red Cancel my subscription button. If it doesn't say App Store, or you paid on the Stardust website, use the matching step below. A receipt from Apple, a Google Play order email, or a card charge from Stardust tells you the same thing.

If you signed up on Android through Google Play

On your Android device, go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, select Stardust, tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. Google says uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription, and that you can keep using it for the time you have already paid for.

If you paid on the Stardust website

Stardust also sells Super through a web checkout, charged by a third-party card processor (its terms name Stripe as an example). Go to stardust.app, click Manage Subscription at the top of the page and sign in. The login page asks returning users to use the same sign-in method as before (email or phone number, Apple, or Google), so pick the one you signed up with. Stardust's terms say your Account shows your billing cycle and send billing questions to support@stardust.app. Stardust doesn't publish what the signed-in page looks like, so if you find no way to cancel there, email that address from the one on your receipt and ask them to stop the renewal before your next billing date.

Don't delete your account to stop the bill

Stardust's terms treat cancelling and deleting as two separate actions. Deleting (Your Settings, then Delete Your Account, then Yes, please on the Delete My Account prompt) removes all of your account data, cycle history included, and the terms say a deleted account cannot be reinstated. Apple and Google bill App Store and Play plans, and the terms say you may need to cancel with them directly. Cancel the subscription first, then decide whether you want the data gone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not if the cancellation went through before your renewal date. Stardust's terms say cancelling means it will "cease billing you on your next billing cycle", and that without a cancellation you are charged automatically for the next month or year. Check the result where you cancelled: Apple shows a red expiration message, and the app's Manage Subscription screen shows an Expiration date and a Resubscribe to Stardust Super button. Uninstalling the app stops nothing, which Google states outright for Play subscriptions.

Not from Stardust itself. Its terms say all fees are non-refundable, with no refunds or credits for partial periods or for time left after cancellation, and no pro-rated refunds. Support holds that line: a Reddit user who paid and then found the app ignores hormonal birth control wrote that "Customer service is firm on their no refund policy." For App Store charges, Stardust's own reply to an App Store review says to request the refund through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com (I'd like to, then Request a refund). Apple makes that call, and its refund page says consumer-law rights in your country still apply. Google Play charges follow Google Play's refund policies. Web purchases fall under Stardust's no-refund terms.

Cancelling ends Stardust Super, not your account. Stardust's FAQ says the free version keeps cycle predictions, daily insights, symptom tracking and lunar syncing, so your logged history stays in the app. You lose the Super features, such as Daily Decode, Daily Horoscope, Daily Tarot, the Cyclepedia and Signal Sync. Stardust's privacy policy says health data is stored against a random account ID rather than your email or phone number. If you want it gone, its Health Data Privacy Policy says to use the delete button in your profile or email support@stardust.app, and the terms say a deleted account cannot be restored.

Apple: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Stardust, Cancel Subscription, or sign in at account.apple.com on a computer. Stardust's Manage Subscription screen points App Store subscribers there. Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, select Stardust, then Cancel subscription. Stardust's terms say an App Store or Play purchase can come with a separate contract with that store, and you may need to cancel with the store directly. If Stardust is in neither list, search your email for a receipt from Apple or Google Play. Apple notes that you can't cancel a family member's subscription; they have to do it from their own Apple Account.

Yes, and it is worth doing early. One version of the in-app paywall reads "In 7 days: You'll be charged unless you cancel anytime before", the US App Store also lists an annual plan with a 1-month trial, and the terms say a trial converts to a paid plan automatically unless you cancel before it ends. Apple says to cancel a trial at least 24 hours before it ends. On Apple the button reads Cancel Free Trial. The free "1 month of Stardust Super" gift that friends can send works the same way: the gift screen says that once redeemed, the free month "auto-renews to a paid annual subscription unless canceled". Set a reminder the day you start either one.

Yes. After cancelling, the app's Manage Subscription screen shows a Resubscribe to Stardust Super button, and your free account and history are still there unless you deleted the account. The price may not match what you paid before: on 2026-09-28 the US App Store listed several annual Stardust prices at once ($24.99, $29.99 and $39.99, some with trials) alongside $6.99 monthly. The gift screen limits the free-month gift to first-time premium users, so it won't cover a return.
