Quick answer

The fastest way to cancel is inside the app: hit Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows), type Cancel Subscription, and confirm — or do it on the web at superhuman.com/admin (or, if your billing has moved to Grammarly, the Grammarly Subscription page). No self-serve button? Email hello@superhuman.com and the team will cancel for you. You keep access until the end of the term you paid for, and charges are not normally refunded.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open the Superhuman Command menu

In the Superhuman app, press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the Command menu — the same shortcut you use for everything else in Superhuman. Type "Cancel Subscription" and select it. This is the quickest route for individual users.

2

Or cancel on the web at superhuman.com/admin

Prefer the browser? Sign in at superhuman.com/admin to manage your subscription, seats, and billing. If your Superhuman billing has already been migrated to Grammarly (Grammarly acquired Superhuman in 2025), you will instead manage it on the Grammarly Subscription page at account.grammarly.com/admin/subscription.

3

Find the Subscription section

On the billing screen you will see your Billing Cycle (Monthly or Yearly), your Renewal date, payment method, billing contact, and recent receipts. Note your renewal date — cancel before it to avoid the next charge.

4

Confirm the cancellation and pick a reason

When the cancel flow appears, scroll to the bottom and click Cancel Subscription, then Yes, continue. Superhuman (or Grammarly) asks for a cancellation reason — choose one and confirm. Your subscription is then set to end at the close of your current paid term.

5

No cancel button? Email hello@superhuman.com

If you do not see a self-serve cancel option, compose a new email to hello@superhuman.com with a subject like "Please cancel my subscription" and a one-line request. The team handles cancellations and account/data deletion requests this way.

Wait for the confirmation reply

A member of the Superhuman team replies to confirm your subscription is canceled. In practice they often process it quickly and — as a goodwill gesture — sometimes refund your most recent payment (typically 5–7 business days), though a refund is not guaranteed by the stated policy. Keep this email as your proof of cancellation.

On a contracted team? Go through your CSM

If your company is on a contracted (Enterprise) plan, you cannot self-cancel. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to end or change the subscription. Individual members of a non-contracted team should ask their team admin instead.

Stop the renewal and confirm no future charges

After canceling, check that auto-renewal is off and that your billing screen shows the subscription ending on your term-end date. You keep full access until then. If you ever want to come back, sign up again at superhuman.com/pricing using the same account.

Frequently Asked Questions

The fastest way is inside the app: press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows), type "Cancel Subscription," and confirm. You can also cancel on the web at superhuman.com/admin, or on the Grammarly Subscription page (account.grammarly.com/admin/subscription) if your billing has been migrated to Grammarly. If no self-serve option appears, email hello@superhuman.com and the team will cancel for you.

Officially, no. Superhuman's policy states that if you cancel you may keep using the service until the end of the term you paid for, but previous charges are not refunded. That said, the support team sometimes refunds your most recent payment as a goodwill gesture when you cancel by email — it just is not guaranteed, so do not count on it.

Yes. Canceling stops the next renewal but you keep full access until the end of your current paid term (the Renewal date shown on your billing screen). After that date your access ends.

It depends on the team type. On a non-contracted team, ask your admin to remove you, or hit Cmd+K / Ctrl+K and choose "Billing Support" to have the team cancel you. If you are the admin, use "Manage Team" (Cmd+K / Ctrl+K) or superhuman.com/admin. On a contracted Enterprise plan you must go through your Customer Success Manager.

Grammarly acquired Superhuman in 2025, and subscription settings and billing are increasingly managed through the associated Grammarly account. If your Superhuman billing has migrated, you cancel on the Grammarly Subscription page (account.grammarly.com/admin/subscription): scroll to the bottom, click Cancel Subscription, click Yes, continue, choose a reason, and confirm.

Yes. To reactivate, visit superhuman.com/pricing and sign up again using the same account you originally used. Picking the annual plan saves roughly 17–18% versus paying monthly.

Canceling stops billing but is not the same as deleting your data. To delete your Superhuman account or data, email hello@superhuman.com and ask for account/data deletion. Keep the confirmation reply for your records.
