Quick answer

Sign in at app.uxcel.com, open your profile menu, go to Account Settings → Subscription, click Cancel, fill in the short "Before You Go" survey, click Continue Cancellation, then confirm with Yes, Cancel. You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing cycle, then drop to the free Starter plan — Uxcel does not auto-refund unused time.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Download any certificates you earned first

Uxcel keeps your certificates, design profile, and learning progress after you cancel, but it is still worth downloading any course or professional certificates now while you have full Pro access. Pro-only courses, career paths, and tools lock the moment your billing cycle ends.

2

Sign in and open Account Settings

Go to app.uxcel.com and sign in with your email, Google, or Apple account. Click your profile photo in the top-right corner and choose Account Settings.

3

Open the Subscription tab

On the Settings page, click the Subscription tab. You will see your Plan card (with your billing frequency, next billing date, and amount) and your Payment Method.

4

Scroll to Cancel Subscription and click Cancel

Scroll past the Plan and Payment Method cards to the Cancel Subscription card at the bottom. Click the red Cancel button.

5

Pick a reason in the "Before You Go" survey

A "Before You Go" modal asks "Why are you canceling your subscription?" with seven options (too little learning content, no value, too expensive, missing features, technical difficulties, do not want auto-renew, no longer need it). Picking a reason is required — the Continue Cancellation button stays grayed out until you select one.

6

Answer the research-contact and feedback prompts (optional)

Below the reason, Uxcel asks whether someone from its research team can contact you ("Yes, I'm fine with that" or "No, thank you") and offers a free-text "Is there anything else you'd like to add?" box. Both are optional — answer or skip them. Once a reason is selected, the Continue Cancellation button turns red and active. Click it.

7

Confirm with Yes, Cancel

A "Confirm Cancellation" dialog spells out what happens: on your next billing date you will be downgraded to the Starter plan and lose access to all Uxcel Pro content and tools. Click Yes, Cancel to finish. Don't Cancel keeps your subscription active.

Verify the cancellation and watch for the email

The Subscription tab should now show a Reactivate Subscription card stating "Your subscription will expire on [date] and you'll lose access to all Uxcel Pro features." You should also receive a confirmation email. If neither shows up, the cancel did not register — try again or contact support@uxcel.com.

If this applies to you

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play

If you bought Pro inside the Uxcel Go mobile app via Apple Pay or Google Play, the website Cancel button won't stop that subscription. Cancel through the store instead: on iPhone, Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Uxcel; on Android, Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Uxcel → Cancel. Most web signups bill by card and cancel on the website — this only applies to app-store purchases.

If you want a refund, email support within the window

Canceling stops future charges but does not issue a refund automatically. Uxcel only refunds in narrow cases (see the FAQ below), and only by request: email support@uxcel.com or use the live chat with your account email, plan type, purchase date, reason, and an invoice screenshot. There is no self-serve refund button.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once your cancellation registers, Uxcel won't bill you again — its help center confirms "Canceling stops future charges." You keep full Pro access until the end of your current billing cycle, then your account reverts to the free Starter plan. Check the Subscription tab for the Reactivate Subscription card and watch for the confirmation email; if a charge still hits your card on the renewal date, the cancel likely did not go through (or it was an app-store subscription canceled on the website rather than in the store).

It depends on your plan and timing. Per Uxcel's refund policy: monthly subscriptions and monthly renewals are not eligible for refunds at all. A first-time annual subscription may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not completed a certificate or consumed a significant amount of premium content — this is the "14-day money back guarantee" advertised on the pricing page. An annual renewal may be refunded only if you ask within 24 hours of the renewal charge. All refunds are request-only: email support@uxcel.com with your invoice. EU and UK users may also have a 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer law.

Everything you earned is preserved. Uxcel's help center states you keep your certificates, design profile, and learning history after canceling, and you can still access and download those certificates. What you lose when the billing cycle ends and your account drops to Starter: full courses, learning/career paths, assessments, challenges, and other Pro-only tools. Resubscribe anytime and you pick up exactly where you left off.

Cancel where the billing lives, not on the Uxcel website. On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Uxcel → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play Store → profile photo → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Uxcel → Cancel. This applies only if you purchased Pro inside the Uxcel Go mobile app via Apple Pay or Google Play — most web signups bill by card (Visa/Mastercard) and cancel directly in Account Settings → Subscription.

Not quite. Uxcel's free tier is a permanent Starter plan, not a time-limited trial — it gives you the first level of every course, skill assessments, and projects with peer feedback, with no credit card required. When you cancel Pro, your account simply reverts to this Starter plan at the end of your billing cycle rather than locking you out entirely. If you signed up via a promotional trial, cancel before it ends to avoid the first Pro charge; you keep Pro features until the trial date passes.

Yes, anytime. While your subscription is still winding down, click Reactivate on the Subscription tab to undo the cancellation. After it expires, just upgrade again from the Uxcel pricing page and your saved progress and certificates come right back. One tip before you resubscribe: Uxcel's pricing page runs a rotating "exclusive 25% off" promo and the yearly plan is meaningfully cheaper per month than monthly, so compare the monthly, yearly, and any current promo price before committing.
