A 8-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Apple bills Tide Guide Pro, so you cancel it with Apple. In the app, open Settings → Pro → Manage Subscription, then tap Cancel Subscription on Apple's sheet. Without the app, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or sign in at account.apple.com. Pro stays on until the paid period ends. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No account, no bank login.

See Tide Guide's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Tide Guide ranks #269 of 272 by cancellation difficulty.
Open Tide Guide on an iPhone or iPad signed in to the Apple Account that pays for Pro, and go to Settings. Pro is the first row, and it reads Active while Pro is on. Tap it.
The Pro sheet opens over Settings with Active, your Plan and its Renewal date, which is when the next charge lands. Below them are Buy Lifetime ("One-time payment.") and Add Family Plan ("Save by sharing."). Both are purchases, not ways to stop paying, so scroll past them.
Manage Subscription is the last row on the Pro sheet, under Email Support, with the line "Easily cancel anytime." Tap it. Apple, not Tide Guide, bills Pro, so this row hands you to Apple's subscription sheet. Tide Guide's help center says the same: you cancel in your App Store account settings.
On Apple's sheet for Tide Guide, tap Cancel Subscription (you may need to scroll down) and confirm. Apple's sheet can also list Tide Guide's other plans, and choosing one changes your plan rather than ending it. Once you've canceled, Apple shows an expiration date instead of a renewal date and no Cancel button, which Apple says means the subscription is canceled. Pro stays on until that date.
You don't need Tide Guide open. On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Tide Guide > Cancel Subscription. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Subscriptions. In any browser, Android included, sign in at account.apple.com and open Subscriptions. On Windows, use the Apple Music or Apple TV app: your name > View My Account > Subscriptions > Manage. If Tide Guide isn't listed, search your email for "receipt from Apple" and sign in with the Apple Account on that receipt.
The Pro plans listed first on the US App Store, $3.99 a month and $40 a year, start with a 7-day free trial that rolls into the paid plan on its own. Cancel it the same way as a paid plan, at least 24 hours before the trial ends, which is Apple's cutoff. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the trial: Apple's terms say a subscription renews until you cancel it in your subscription settings. One US App Store reviewer who gave up during the trial did both: "Deleted, canceled my free trial."
Lifetime ($150 on the US App Store) is a one-time purchase, so it has nothing to cancel, and the same goes for any other one-time Tide Guide purchase. An r/NOAA member who bought before the subscription calls themselves "grandfathered". The catch is buying Lifetime from the Pro sheet while a monthly or annual plan is running. Apple's terms say a subscription renews until you cancel it, so open Subscriptions afterwards and cancel the plan if Tide Guide is still listed with a renewal date. If you were charged for the plan after buying Lifetime, ask Apple for a refund (see the refund question below).
Add Family Plan and Tide Guide Ultra (which includes Family Sharing) are bought with one Apple Account, and only the account on the receipt can cancel a plan that renews: Apple says you can't cancel a family member's subscription. Turning off Share with Family (Settings > Family > Subscriptions > Manage Subscriptions) stops the sharing, not the billing. After any upgrade, open Subscriptions and check that only one Tide Guide plan shows a renewal date.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
