A 11-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Cancel on the same platform that bills you. On iPhone, open Settings → Pro membership, tap Unsubscribe, pick a reason if you want, then confirm Unsubscribe me — or finish in Settings → your name → Subscriptions if Apple still shows a renew date. Website purchases cancel at wanderlog.com/settings/pro. You keep Pro until the trial or paid period ends; canceling does not refund the current cycle.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No bank login.
Wondering if you're paying more than you used to? how this compares to other subscriptions.
See Wanderlog's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. Wanderlog ranks #83 of 235 by cancellation difficulty.
Check a recent bank, App Store, or Google Play receipt before you start. Website Pro cancels at wanderlog.com/settings/pro. Apple and Google subscriptions cancel through the store (Wanderlog’s help center sends you there after Unsubscribe). Match the cancel path to the receipt — not to whichever screen you open first.
In the iOS app, open your profile, tap the three-dot menu, then open Settings (or Pro membership if it appears in that menu). Tap Pro membership. You should see the Pro feature checklist, a MEMBERSHIP STATUS card (for example Free trial), and your NEXT BILLING CYCLE date.
On the Pro membership screen, scroll past the green-check feature list to the gray Unsubscribe button and tap it. That opens the Cancel membership confirmation — billing has not stopped yet.
Wanderlog shows a Cancel membership dialog: “Are you sure you want to unsubscribe from your Pro membership? You will lose access to all of our most beneficial features after your trial or billing period ends.” Below that is a Why would you like to cancel? dropdown, an orange Unsubscribe me button, and a Never mind link.
Open the dropdown if you want to leave feedback. Reasons are grouped under General app issues, Pro features, Price and usage (including Don’t have an upcoming trip and Price too expensive), and Other. Choosing Other reveals a What caused you to unsubscribe? text field. Filling this out is optional — it does not change whether you can cancel.
Tap the orange Unsubscribe me button — not Never mind. Wanderlog’s help center also says iOS and Android users should follow the on-device App Store or Google Play instructions if the system subscription sheet appears. You have not canceled until auto-renew is off in Wanderlog (End date shown) and, for store billing, in Apple or Google Subscriptions.
Back on Pro membership, MEMBERSHIP STATUS still shows your plan (for example Free trial), but NEXT BILLING CYCLE is replaced by an END DATE with how many days remain. An orange Undo unsubscribe button appears if you change your mind before that date. You keep Pro features until the end date — canceling turns off the next charge; it does not cut access immediately.
You can skip Wanderlog’s survey entirely for App Store purchases. Open the iOS Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Wanderlog → Cancel Subscription, or manage renewals at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. The result is the same: access until the period ends, then Free.
Log in at wanderlog.com/settings/pro with the same account as the app. Click Unsubscribe, optionally answer the one-question survey, and confirm. That is the Stripe / website path Wanderlog’s help center documents — it does not stop an App Store or Play renewal.
Open the Play Store app → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wanderlog → Cancel subscription. Website or Apple cancel paths will not stop a Play-billed renewal.
Canceling Pro leaves your free account and trip plans intact — Wanderlog’s help center says core planning stays free forever. Deleting the account (Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or Settings → Delete account on the web) permanently erases your data and is a separate action. Stop billing first. If you are on a free trial, cancel before the trial end date on the same platform that started it, or Terms say the paid charge hits when the trial converts.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
