Quick answer

Open the GoodRx app, tap the Account tab, tap Manage on the GoodRx Gold row, then Cancel my GoodRx Gold membership and decline the two-free-months offer. Your benefits run until the end of the current billing cycle, and GoodRx's free coupons keep working afterwards — but cancel in the app, because the web address GoodRx documents now redirects to a different, pricier product. Paying $14.99/mo or $119.88/yr? You are on the newer product, not Gold — use the GoodRx Companion cancellation guide.

GoodRx Gold was the one you remembered

The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Check your renewal date and refund window first

Gold bills on the date you signed up, and GoodRx's terms require you to cancel at least one day before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Two refund windows exist and they are easy to mix up: cancel within the first 30 days of your membership and GoodRx refunds every fee paid, but on an annual plan you get only 2 weeks after an annual charge to claim that charge back. Money already spent on medications is never refundable.

2

Open the Account tab in the GoodRx app

Launch the GoodRx mobile app and tap Account in the bottom navigation bar. Your GoodRx Gold row sits just under your name and email, showing how long you have been a member, with a Manage link on the right.

3

Tap Manage, then Cancel my GoodRx Gold membership

The "Manage your Gold plan" sheet opens with your next billing date at the top and your plan below it. Tap the blue "Cancel my GoodRx Gold membership" link. Do not tap Change — that only switches you between Individual and Family, or between monthly and annual, and you keep getting billed either way.

4

Turn down the two free months

GoodRx counters with "How about 2 more free months of Gold on us?" and lists what you would keep: up to 90% off prescriptions, free home delivery on eligible medications, and $19 online provider visits. Tap "No thanks, cancel membership" underneath the blue button.

5

Confirm and note your end date

A "We're sad to see you go." dialog names the exact date your benefits stop, which is your next billing date rather than today. It also reminds you that GoodRx coupons stay free to use. Tap Done.

Confirmation dialog reading "We're sad to see you go. You can continue using your GoodRx Gold member benefits until 08/30/2025. Don't forget, GoodRx coupons are always free to use." with a blue Done button, over a dimmed banner repeating the cancellation
6

Verify the plan reads Cancelled

Back on the Manage your Gold plan sheet, a banner confirms "You've cancelled your Gold membership" along with your benefit end date, and your plan row now reads Cancelled where the price used to be. If you still see a price and no banner, the cancellation did not register — start again from the Account tab.

No app? Try the web path, then fall back to phone or email

GoodRx also documents a browser route: sign in, click the profile icon in the top right, choose Account, select Gold Membership, click Cancel my Gold Membership, then confirm with "Yes, cancel anyway". Try it once you are signed in. If those links bounce you to the Companion sales page instead, call Gold support on (855) 268-2822, open 6am to 9pm CST seven days a week, or email support@goodrx.com with the subject line "Subscription Cancellation Request" and include your full name, Gold Member ID, and the email on the account.

Family plan: cancelling ends coverage for everyone

A Gold Family plan covers up to five Add-On Members — family, friends, and pets — and each one gets a separate account and member ID. Only the primary member can cancel, and cancelling ends Gold for all of them on the same date. Removing someone from the plan does not reduce the bill, so if you are an Add-On Member who wants the charge stopped, the primary member has to do it. Give anyone mid-prescription a heads-up before you confirm.

Annual plan: benefits run to the end of the term

GoodRx is explicit that cancelling an annual plan mid-term leaves your benefits available for the remainder of the membership term with no prorated refund. If you are more than two weeks past your annual charge, cancelling now stops the next renewal but returns none of the current year — so there is no reason to stop using Gold until the term actually ends.

Ask GoodRx to delete your prescription claims data

Cancelling stops the billing but does not erase the prescription history attached to your account. Gold's Terms of Service let you request deletion of your Claims Data by calling 1-855-487-0694 or submitting a request at goodrx.com/requestdeletion. Worth doing if you are leaving over privacy rather than price.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, provided you cancel at least one day before your renewal date — that is the cutoff GoodRx states in the Gold Terms of Service. Your membership then ends on the day the next fee would have been due, and Gold benefits stay active right up to that date. Cancel on the renewal date itself and GoodRx bills you for one more full cycle, with access running to the end of it.

It depends entirely on timing, and GoodRx publishes two different windows. The Gold Terms of Service say that if you cancel within the first 30 days of your membership, you receive a full refund of any fees paid. Separately, GoodRx's cancellation-policy page says annual subscribers must cancel within 2 weeks of an annual billing charge to be eligible to have that charge refunded. The 30-day rule is a new-member grace period; the 2-week rule attaches to each annual charge, including renewals. Outside both, there is no prorated refund, and money spent on medications is never refundable. If you are near either edge, call (855) 268-2822 before the window closes.

No, and this is the part most people get wrong. Gold is the paid layer sitting on top of GoodRx — the free coupon product stays free. GoodRx's own cancellation dialog says as much: "Don't forget, GoodRx coupons are always free to use." You lose the Gold-only prices, free home delivery, and $19 online provider visits, but you can still search drug prices and show free GoodRx coupons at the pharmacy counter. For some medications the free coupon price is close to the Gold price anyway, so it is worth pricing your specific prescriptions both ways before you cancel.

You almost certainly did not. GoodRx bills Gold directly to the card on file rather than through an app store — the Gold Terms of Service make no mention of Apple, Google, or in-app purchases, and the cancel button lives inside the GoodRx app itself rather than in iOS Settings, which would be impossible for an App Store subscription. If a GoodRx charge shows up on an Apple or Google receipt instead of your card statement, it is for something else, such as a GoodRx Care visit. Check the statement descriptor before hunting for a subscription that is not there.

They all lose Gold on the same date you do. A Family plan covers up to five Add-On Members, pets included, and each has a separate account and member ID — but only the primary member controls the subscription. Add-On Members cannot cancel the plan themselves, and taking someone off the plan does not lower the $19.99/mo bill. If you are an Add-On Member who wants the charge to stop, the primary member is the only person who can end it.

Probably not at the price you were paying. GoodRx launched Companion in May 2026 and goodrx.com/gold now redirects there, so Gold looks closed to new public sign-ups even though existing members are still billed and supported. Companion runs $14.99/mo or $119.88/yr, is individual-only with no family option, and gives a 7-day trial against Gold's 30. So treat cancelling as a one-way door: if you are on the $9.99 Individual or $19.99 Family rate, be sure you want out before you confirm.
