A 10-step walkthrough with real screenshots from the live cancel flow.
Cancel on the web, not in the app: sign in at app.whoop.com/membership, click Cancel Your Membership at the bottom of the page, choose the option that fits your plan and finish the survey. Most memberships are prepaid for a year, so canceling stops the next renewal and you keep WHOOP until the term ends, with no refund for unused time unless you cancel and return the band within 30 days of delivery. On the 30-day free trial, tap Cancel My Trial in the app and ship the band back within 14 days, or WHOOP's Terms charge a $110 restocking fee.
The next renewal is the one you won't. RecurDash keeps the list and emails you before each charge lands.
No account, no bank login.

See WHOOP's pricing, tiers, and difficulty score in one page. WHOOP ranks #239 of 272 by cancellation difficulty.
In the WHOOP app, tap More, then My Account, then WHOOP Membership. The Membership & Billing screen shows your plan, what it renews at, how it's billed and your Next Renewal date, which is the date your cancellation has to beat. What it offers is Manage Membership, Create Family Plan, Switch Billing Plan, an upgrade card and Downgrade Options, with no cancel button. WHOOP's billing FAQ says you can cancel in the app, but its step-by-step cancel instructions use the web app, and members in July and August 2026 found no cancel option in the app. Cancel on the web, as below.
In a web browser, go to app.whoop.com and sign in with the email and password you use in the WHOOP app. Open the menu with the three horizontal bars in the top-left corner and choose Membership. If you can't get into the account, don't let the renewal date pass: WHOOP's Terms also accept a cancellation sent to support@whoop.com, so email from the address on the account and keep the reply.
Scroll to the bottom of the Membership page and click Cancel Your Membership. WHOOP then asks which option matches your membership. Paid upfront: schedule the cancellation for the end of your commitment period. Paying monthly and still inside the 12-month commitment: either pay off the remaining months now or schedule the cancellation for the end of the commitment. Paying monthly after the commitment: cancel before your next billing date.
WHOOP runs a cancellation survey before it lets you finish. Members describe it as long and not skippable, "a dozen or so questions" in one July 2026 account, with continuing your membership the most prominent choice on each page. Any answer works, Other included. Keep choosing to cancel until WHOOP confirms it.
Reload Membership at app.whoop.com, read what it now says about your status and next billing date, and screenshot it. Keep every email WHOOP sends about the cancellation. If one says something went wrong, sign in and cancel again: members reported that email in May 2026, and in July another found their membership active again days after canceling. Letting your card expire is no substitute. WHOOP's Terms say a failed annual charge is retried, then billed as one-twelfth of the fee each month until the full amount goes through or the membership is canceled.
In the WHOOP app, tap More, then My Account, then Cancel My Trial, and follow the prompts to request a return (on the web, start at app.whoop.com/membership/returns). Do it inside the 30 days, or the trial rolls into a 12-month Peak membership at $239 a year. WHOOP features stop the moment you cancel. You get a return label or QR code, which WHOOP's US returns page says arrives by email within 1 to 3 business days, and trial members pay the return shipping. Send back the sensor and its charger or battery pack within 14 days of canceling. WHOOP's Terms charge a $110 restocking fee if it isn't returned in time. Its US returns page words it differently, saying an unreturned trial device enrolls you in the $239 membership, so ship promptly and keep the tracking number.
If you bought a membership straight from WHOOP and the band arrived less than 30 days ago, you can cancel and return it for a full refund of the membership fee, minus shipping both ways. Start at app.whoop.com/membership/returns, choose Cancel and follow the prompts to a return label, then ship the sensor, battery pack, band and charging cable. WHOOP refunds the original payment method within 10 business days of receiving the return, and doesn't refund engraving. A membership that began as a free trial doesn't qualify: WHOOP's Terms exclude trial members from the 30-day return policy.
WHOOP won't cancel a paused membership. At app.whoop.com, open Membership, click Resume Membership and confirm, then cancel straight away. Pausing stops billing for up to 3 months, once every 12 months, but it doesn't end the membership: billing restarts when the pause ends.
On Membership & Billing in the app, scroll past the Available Upgrade card to Downgrade Options and tap Downgrade to WHOOP One. Life members can drop to Peak or One. A downgrade still renews: you keep your current features until the renewal date, then pay the lower plan's price, $199 a year for One against $239 for Peak, with no refund for the time left on your current plan.
The next screen compares One with your current plan (from Peak, Health Monitor, Stress Monitor and Healthspan are the features you give up), shows Downgrade to WHOOP One at $0 today, and says the change happens at the end of your current billing cycle. Tap Downgrade Membership to schedule it. The line under the buttons is the one to read: the membership still renews automatically, at the lower price, on your renewal date.
RecurDash keeps track of what you're paying for and emails you before each renewal — so the next cancellation happens on your schedule, not after the charge. No bank login required.
