Quick answer

In the Strava app, tap You → the gear iconYour Strava SubscriptionManage Your Subscription, then Cancel Subscription and confirm through the save offer and reason survey. Cancel on the same platform you subscribed on — if Apple or Google bills you, cancel there instead. You keep access until your period ends; full refunds are only within 14 days (Strava-billed) or about 48 hours (App Store / Play).

Step-by-step instructions

1

Open your subscription settings

In the Strava app, tap You in the bottom navigation, then the gear icon to open Settings and choose Your Strava Subscription. Scroll to the bottom of that screen and tap Manage Your Subscription.

2

Tap Cancel Subscription

The Membership page shows your current plan and renewal date. Below the plan card, tap the orange Cancel Subscription link. Leave the Change Plan button alone — it only switches you between annual and monthly billing.

3

Skip the save offer

Strava shows a "Don't lose your momentum!" screen with subscriber stats and feature highlights. Scroll to the bottom and tap Cancel My Subscription. Ignore Keep Subscription.

4

Pick a cancellation reason

On the "Your Feedback Is Important" screen, the Cancel My Subscription button stays greyed out until you select a reason. Tap any of the radio options to enable it — the button is not broken, it is just gated behind the survey.

5

Confirm with Cancel My Subscription

Once a reason is selected, the button turns solid orange. Tap Cancel My Subscription. The note underneath confirms your plan stays active until your period-end date and that you can resubscribe anytime.

Verify the cancellation went through

You land back on the Membership page. Confirm it now reads "Your subscription is canceled and will expire on" your end date, with a Resubscribe Now button where Cancel Subscription used to be. If you still see Cancel Subscription, you stopped too early — go back and finish the final confirm.

Prefer the web? Cancel from your Account page

On strava.com, click your profile picture in the top right, then Settings > My Account, and click the small blue "Cancel subscription" text. It is easy to miss — scroll down a little on a computer. This works for subscriptions billed directly by Strava.

If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play

You must cancel on the same platform that bills you. When a store handles your billing, Manage Your Subscription sends you there. On iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Strava. On Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Canceling on strava.com will not stop a store-billed subscription.

Canceling during the 30-day free trial

The free trial auto-converts to a paid charge. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial end date shown on your Membership page to avoid being billed — you keep trial access until it ends.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Once your cancellation goes through, Strava stops auto-renewing and you keep subscriber features until the end of your current term — the Membership page shows the exact expiry date. The catch: if Apple or Google bills you, canceling on Strava's website will not stop those charges. Cancel on the same platform you subscribed on, and double-check your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

It depends where you bought it. For Strava-billed (web) subscriptions you can request a full refund from Strava Support within 14 days of purchase; after that they are non-refundable, and a recent renewal is not refunded automatically. Apple and Google purchases are refunded by the store — typically only within about 48 hours of purchase and at their discretion, since Strava cannot refund an App Store or Play charge. If the store declines, it is still worth emailing Strava support — some users report being refunded for an accidental trial charge that way, even outside the stated window. Refunds take roughly 5–7 business days to appear. EU and UK buyers may have stronger statutory withdrawal rights.

Nothing is deleted. Canceling drops you to Strava's free tier: you keep every uploaded activity, your history, your clubs, and basic activity recording. You only lose subscriber features — segment leaderboards, route planning and offline maps, advanced training analysis, and the like. Your data only disappears if you separately delete your account.

Cancel on whichever store bills you. On iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Strava > Cancel Subscription. On Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions > Strava > Cancel. Strava's in-app Manage Your Subscription link routes you to the right place. Canceling on strava.com will not stop a subscription that Apple or Google is billing.

Yes. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial end date shown on your Membership page and you will not be charged, while keeping access until the trial ends. The flow is the same: You > gear icon > Your Strava Subscription > Manage Your Subscription > Cancel Subscription. One warning from other users: a trial sometimes charges a full year up front rather than waiting, and a repeat trial through Apple may not actually be free — double-check the first payment date on the payment screen before confirming.

Yes. After canceling, the Membership page shows a Resubscribe Now button, and you can restart anytime. Your activities and history are still there, so resubscribing simply re-unlocks the subscriber features. Strava pricing varies by region and changes over time — you will get the current rate, and Strava gives at least 30 days' notice before any price change at renewal.
